October 14, 2014

The theme for the October 2014 Beauty Box 5 is Effortless Allure! I’m all about every thing being effortless this month. With so many birthdays and occasions it’s easy to get overwhelmed, it’s good to know there are products to help me stay beautiful in the frenzy.

This month I got….

October 2014 Beauty Box 5 Swatches Review

From Chapstick, Hydration Lock. Your favorite chapstick just got better. Chapstick is now double-ended to provide two conditioning formulas – one to moisturize and one to renew. The renew side is definitely my favorite but both make my lips feel amazing. There is another formula as well that is for day (with an SPF of 12) and night and luckily BB5 has provided a 50cent off coupon to try it!

From Bellapierre Cosmetics, Cheek and Lip Stain in Pink. This is a great stain which makes the lips and cheeks appear very fresh when worn. It’s not sticky and blends/applies well, wearing all day. A great, universal shade!

From Extend Your Beauty, Cosmetic Tool. I actually have one of these!! This little spatula is fantastic for getting every last drop of product out of your bottles. Because I have one already, I’ll be using this in an upcoming giveaway (hint: in November, my birthday month!).

From Lashem, Picture Perfect. This is a great serum to help reduce fine lines and winkles, or even as a primer for under your makeup. It’s impossible to review a sample size of skincare, but I can tell you that it feels nice on and leaves my face feeling smooth.

From Nanacoco, Nail Polish. The shade I got is in Surfer’s Dream. At first bottle glance I was thinking… “geez I’m over the blue now that it’s Fall” but on the nail it’s SO gorgeous. It applied evenly and was as smooth as glass. One coat seemed like it worked fine but two is what I used to be sure the opacity was full.

This months box was, again, an excellent mix on makeup, haircare and skincare. As usual I get overly excited about lip balms and the Chapstick is no exception. The nail polish was a surprise love and I am really loving the Bellapierre tint on my lips especially. I can’t wait to see what goodies are coming for November!

Be sure to share your box on Instagram to enter to win full-size versions of this month’s products from Beauty Box 5! Simply snap a pic, talk about your faves and tag #bb5fave & @beautybox5.

I don’t mind wearing that nail polish too even if it pulls more summer-ish

That cheek and lip stain looks like the perfect everyday color! And that nail polish is sooo pretty. Kinda reminds me of OCC’s Pool Boy nail polish!

That little spatula is GENIUS! I hate it when I feel there’s product left but you can’t get it out, especially with glass foundation bottles.

Wow! Love the packaging 🙂 Wanna go for Cheek and Lip Stain. Those seems truly attractive 😉 BTW, my latest lip stain is L’Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Lip Stain that I bought from here at only $1.99. I’m just surprised with its quality of longer lasting and awesome feel 🙂
