The theme for the September 2014 ipsy Glam Bag is Street Style. Perfect for the month that houses Fashion Week where Street Style is a major thing.
This month the bag is a metallic gunmetal shade with silver studs. I love the bag and think it’s totally perfect for the theme of this month and also very on-trend.
From Alterna Haircare, Caviar CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction. I originally got this back in my May Glossybox and I’m definitely a fan. I didn’t repurchase it because I’m still working through a huge bottle of Living Proof Frizz Styling Cream, so I’m excited to get this back into my hands. It keeps my hair tame, healthy and looking shiny.
From Nourish Organic, Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser. Well this says fragrance free but that’s a huge negative. It smells really bad. The smell gets worse as you rub at it. I like the sounds of the ingredients (cucumber, you just really can’t go wrong.. right?) but based off of the smell of this cleanser when I put it on my hand I will never put it anywhere near my face. Ever.
From Crown Brush, Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush. So if you read my post on the Top 10 Brush Brands you already know this one is a win for me. This brush is perfect for those days that you just want a quick and easy eye look and only want to deal with using one brush. That being said it’s also perfect to integrate into your smoky eye looks. Crown brushes are affordable and get the job done well. ipsy, please put brushes in every bag! WOO!
From Pacifica, Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil. The shade I got is in Fringe, but other subscribers could have received Gunmetal. I love the flat matte brown shade and the formula was really smooth. It’s easy to smudge and lasts all day.
From Hikari, Lipstick in Cabernet. This is the perfect berry shade for Fall. I love to smudge this on my lips and wear it as a stain. The formula feels great and it lasts for several hours before you need to dab a bit more on.
This month was definitely better than last month and I was especially in love with the brush. The liner and lipstick are perfect for Fall and the Caviar CC Cream is an old fave. The dud – obviously the cleanser. That was a HUGE dud. Wow. Still, well worth the $10 and still a good month!
Ipsy has profile pages, so here is mine. There is also a pretty amazing referral program in place. You refer friends and redeem points to get a sweet little bonus in your next bag. I’ve gotten some really fab full sized products as my bonuses, but, something new, you can use your points to choose your own bonus! I cashed in last November for a full size NYX Cosmetics Bronze Smokey Look Kit (see photos and swatches here).
Here is where you can go to subscribe to ipsy for a Glam Bag.
What do you think about the September Glam Bag? Are you going to subscribe for October? I’m always excited to see what they have in store!

I always love such a wearable fall lippie. Especially one that’s still vampy but a bit brighter for daytime.
