Better late than never! I finally have everything I ordered from the MAC Moody Blooms collection to swatch with a few items I was sent. Maybe this collection didn’t have you freaking out as much as larger collections, or even smaller more limited collections… but I was in love with the products from Moody Blooms. The colors were so saturated and jewel toned… full of the things I love for the Summer to Fall transition!
Let’s start off with the eyes – of which is the bulk of my Moody Blooms post but in my defense when it comes to MAC Eye Shadows ($16.00 each) I love all things Veluxe Pearl. I loved them all and only took issue with Green Room, but as a satin they’re usually pretty dry, so that’s to be expected. With those I find I have better lucky blending them over another shade (such as Artistic License) and they end up looking gorgeous.
- Artistic License (pinky gold, veluxe pearl).
- Deep Fixation (metallic brown, veluxe pearl).
- Blooming Mad (mid-tone ultra violet frost).
- Hidden Motive (deep aubergine, veluxe pearl).
- Lucky Green (dark yellow green, veluxe pearl).
- Green Room (mid-tone teal, satin).
There were three of the Fluidlines ($16.00 each) and I ended up with two of them in Nightshade (blackened plum) and Black Ivy (blackened green). I’m a long-time fan of MAC Fluidlines and Black Ivy just might be my favorite of all time. Like, EVER. It’s more of a flat, blackened teal and wears beautifully. Nightshade was lovely as well with more of a golden purple metallic finish however I liked it better as an eyeshadow base rather than a liner (it wasn’t as pigmented as I’d have liked for a gel liner).
Not as much craziness went down with the blushes and lips, but the ones I have here are so beautiful it makes me want to run out and buy the others. Rocky Horror is coming soon, so I’m refraining.
Powder Blush ($22.00). Two Powder Blushes were released in Worldly Wealth and Bred for Beauty, which is a mid-tone blue pink with a matte finish. This has fantastic pigment and blends nicely. Matte blushes from MAC are usually wonderful in that respect and this one also stuck around for about 8 hours.
Sheen Supreme Lipstick ($18.00). I received two shades of the six in Venomous Violet (deep berry) and Lust Extract (electric violet). I love the Sheen Supreme formula because they offer a good amount of color but are still wearable enough for those that are timid with color. Because of the finish they don’t last more than a few hours but they do feel and look wonderful.
Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint Lipgloss ($20.00). Of the five shades released I received two in Bubble Gum (soft warm pink) and Glorious Intent (warm plum). These are extremely sheer when worn alone but make wonderful toppers to any lipstick you want to add a little shine or dimension to. They’ve got a lot of slip and feel fantastic on.

This one is the best review I’ve ever read! I need to buy the Night Shade though I purchased a concealer palette recently at an unbelievable price and after using it I realized that we shouldn’t consider the quality for price! I am greatly satisfied using it and so exited to own this wonderful makeup palette 🙂
