Art On It Makeup is one of my favorite brands not only because the products are high quality but because the packaging makes me feel like I’m at the opening of a very important art gallery featuring a very important artist. Fall is in the air and it’s time to paint our faces (aka our canvases!) with the best of the best. Art On It Makeup is making that easy with the products below!
Les Chromatiques Artsy Compact in Asphyxia ($65.00) – This compact is truly a work of art and I’m not just talking about the outer packaging. The eye shadows are as soft as butter but as pigmented as you’ll ever need. You hardly have to touch your brush to the shade to pick up the color and application is a breeze. The quartet in Asphyxia is perfect for Fall days with the Deep Bronze and Baby Gold shades and then sexing it up for night with the Burn Gundy and Lapiz. These shadows can also be worn wet if you really want them to look metallic (especially for liner), but tbh it’s not even necessary. The shades swatched dry and without a primer are more than enough for anyone who isn’t on the catwalk.
In the eye look below I have Baby Gold at the inner corners and also blending out the crease, Burn Gundy on the lid, Deep Bronze in the crease and Lapiz at the outer corner. The liner is Art On It Le Stylo Art Beauté and the mascara is Eddie Funkhouser Quattro Variable Lash Mascara. I did use Urban Decay Primer Potion for this look to help hold the look all day long.
Le Stylo Art Beauté in Cat Noir ($27.00). This type of felt tip point makes it ridiculously easy to get a thin and very precise line, exactly where you want it. The color is saturated and easy to get the perfect pigment in one pass. The ink is 100% water-based and you can count on it to never fade or migrate.
Lipstick in Love Lucy ($25.00). I so Love Lucy. It’s warm and completely opaque in one pass. I’d call the finish a matte but not in the flat, drying way. It lasts for up to 4-5 hours (unless you eat or drink) and wears phenomenally. This may just be my ultimate red.
Lip Gloss in Abracadabra ($24.00). Abracadabra has a mostly sheer base with maybe a hint of gold to it. There is a gilded sparkle but it’s not as noticeable as you’d think on your lips. It’s not uber sticky and makes a great compliment to Love Lucy. I always like my pout to have a little more dimension 😉
Below I’m wearing the entire line that I’ve reviewed here. The eye look is broken down above (in case you scrolled and missed it!), Love Lucy Lipstick is on my lips with Abracadabra dabbed in the middle.
One more time, look at the packaging. You can’t say no.
