Few things excite me as much as gorgeous packaging, Makeup Wars and a teal eye shadow surrounded by beautiful neutrals. Combine all of those things and we have today’s collaboration post with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Maya Mia Eye Shadow Palette.
Designed in collaboration with Maya Janeska (@maya_mia_y) the packaging is girly and wild, playing on a mix of stripes, chevron and zebra prints.
Below I swatched all of the shades in the Maya Mia palette dry and on top of bare skin, no primers are used. I found the more matte shades to be nicely pigmented and smooth. All of the shades were easy to work with and pigment can be built up on the more shimmery shades, especially over-top of a base that will help them pop (like NYX Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil).
This palette also includes five beautiful get the look cards for inspiration on anything from smoky to playful to mod.
For all of the looks below NYX Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil was used as a primer and Lancome Grandiose was used as the mascara.
Look 1 – For this look begin by blending Caramel into the crease and up towards the brow. Take Fresh Peach and place it all over the lid except at the inner corners. At the inner corners and also to highlight pat on Glisten. Deep Brown is used to dramatically deepen the outer V. Use Nude above crease and up to the highlight. To smoke it out a bit more place Sienna under the lower lash line. The top liner is Chanel Brun Eyeliner Pen and Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner in Chocolate Truffle is at the bottom waterline.
Look 2 – Begin by placing Aqua at the inner corners and then blend Sienna all over the lid. Place Glisten at the crease and blend out with Nude. Use Vanilla to highlight & lightly accent the inner corners. Smudge Gold Bar under the lower lash line. The top liner is Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner; the bottom liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Velvet. (this is one of my fave looks ever, I teased it earlier in the week on Instagram!).
Look 3 – Begin by applying Deep Brown all over the lid and into the crease. In the crease blend Warm Taupe, moving the shade upwards. Add Fresh Peach at the inner corners & blended in at the top of the crease. Vanilla is used to highlight and Glisten is smudged under the lower lash line. Eye liner is placed only on the bottom waterline and is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Deep End.
