The level of chic-ness you see when you look at the MAC Pedro Lourenço Collection is unparalleled to any other collab they’ve ever done (well, lately?). It’s so up my alley with the understated, nude eyes and the intense color of the lip. I have most of the collection to swatch for you minus the lipsticks, the cream color base and one of the nail polishes…. I guess that’s around half? Either way, it’s good stuff.
First, we need to discuss the Nude Quad Eyeshadow x 4 ($44.00). This.beautiful.quad. Two of the included shades are permanent (All That Glitters, veluxe pearl & Sable, frost) while two are exclusive to the palette (Pink Sands, matte & Rose Cloud, matte). Very neutral (aka nude) as the name implies, but the texture and quality of the shades is fantastic. Dupeable? Absolutely. But with the luxe packaging and four shades I know I’ll use constantly (plus I didn’t own Sable or ATG), I had to have it!
The Corol Powder Blush Duo ($26.00) is described as light coral pink/mid-tone neutral plum. This was the piece that was a total must-have for me in regards to this entire collection. Unfortunately the texture of mine was a little dry and I found it very hard to pick up color from the coral pink side.
The two shades of Lipglass ($16.50) in this collection look a little awkward alone (though you can certainly wear them that way!). Mirror (neutral silver) and Gold Mirror (neutral gold) are sheer but sparkly and are must-haves for layering on the Lipstick shades in this collection (or their respective twins that you likely already own in your collections – shades of red, nude). Formula wise if you like MAC Lipglass then you’ll love these. If you don’t like the sticky feel that a lipglass can have, you probably won’t be that into them.
Two shades of Nail Lacquer ($17.50) came out in the shade below, Skin, and also a haute red, Flaming Rose. Below is two thick coats of Skin on my nails (that sounds so bizarre) and I thought that it coated decently but didn’t work really well on me. I think paired up with Flaming Rose to create a runway ready mani would make it better.
As a whole the MAC Pedro Lourenço Collection isn’t without it’s dupes, but if you’re a collector or lover of neutral and chic then this one will be right up your alley!
In the look below I’m wearing the Nude Quad, Corol Powder Blush and Mirror Lipglass. The liner is MAC Teddy and the mascara is Milani Total Lash Cover. I used MAC Blonde Fluidline Brow Gelcreme & MAC Emphatically Blonde Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set to fill in my eye brows.
