The June 2014 Glossybox is all about the stars and the stripes! This box is full of products to get yourself pampered and prepared for the 4th of July and even included a surprise gift card from C.Wonder! Check out what is in this months box and see a sneak peek for the July box at the end of this post plus some sweet deals for new subscribers!
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
Let’s check out the goodies inside the June 2014 GLOSSYBOX!
From Rusk, Texture Dry Finishing Spray. This spray holds and maintains your style while still allowing movement. The best part? There’s no white or chalky residue either! Perfect for making your hair look less like a witches when you come out of the pool and need a quick style.
From Ayres, Patagonia Body Butter. Not only does this smell healing (in a good way) is actually heals! Chlorine really dries my skin out and this stuff is doing a wonderful job of kicking the butts of dry patches.
From StrangeBeautiful, Colorbloc. This red and blue duo was exclusively designed for Glossybox and is airplane friendly! The shades are nicely pigmented and easy to work with. Below I used these two shades with the help of some nail striping tape, a dotting tool and Cult Nails Tempest to create my 4th of July mani.
From Camille Beckman, Platinume Gold Imperial Repair Hand Therapy. This cream feels fantastic, it’s thick and coating but soaks in quickly without feeling greasy. The scent is not really for me. It’s strong and I initially assumed I’d love it because it’s called Lemongrass Vert & Sparkling Grapefruit… but it has this bizarre after-smell of baby powder… and the combined scents just don’t mesh well with me.
From Sumita Beauty, Champagne Eye Shadow Pencil. This is such a beautiful shade sheered out a lot or as a base for your other eye shadow colors. The pencil is really creamy and smooth. Once it sets it stays on well, but I did need to use a secondary primer to keep the creasing at bay. I love the formula though, and would totally buy more!
Finally there was a surprise gift card inside (my favorite kind of surprise!) to C. Wonder where you can shop in store or online, enter the gift card and your winning balance (up to $500!) will pop up! There is a huge sale going on right now so if you have one of these take advantage ASAP. Shop using ebates and also get 5.0% cash back on your purchase!
Obviously, I thought the June shipment was wonderful. I had a great time creating the nail art and the Sumita Beauty Eye Shadow Pencil is amazing. Add in that extra gift card promo and the value is above par.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
What did you think of the June GlossyBox? Are you subscribing for July?

That eye pencil is gorgeous. I’m Canadian though so we can’t get Glossybox here unfortunately.
