When I walked back into my office to find my favorite purple eye shadow for this weeks Makeup Wars my eyes fell on one of the quads from the MAC collaboration with the Osbourne gals. Specifically the Bloody Brilliant Quad from the Kelly Osbourne side. Even more specifically, the eye shadow in Fizzy Rose.
Fizzy Rose caught my eye because it’s on trend with the season and it’s a lighter, softer version of Radiant Orchid. As a satin shade it’s smooth, not shimmery and not matte. I love to use shades like this as unconventional highlights or accents.
In the eye look below I have Spoonful of Sugar (VXP) at the inner corners and to blend out the crease, Tickety Boo (S) on the lid and Shadowy Lady (M) at the outer V and crease. Fizzy Rose (S) was used as a highlight as well as under the outer part of the lower lash line. The liner is also from the MAC Kelly Osbourne Collection and is the Rapidblack Jumbo Penultimate Eye Liner. The mascara is L’Oreal Miss Manga.
The box packaging & product packaging are also entirely in a metallic lilac with Kelly Osbourne’s signature scrawled over top of it in red.
In addition to loving Fizzy Rose the rest of the collection is very purple eye shadow lover friendly. I love how this series with Kelly launched with the Rapidblack Jumbo Penultimate Eye Liner (to get that thick yet perfect cat eye), In Sync Lip Pencil, Strip Poker Lipstick and Cheeky Bugger Powder Blush. It really gave off a modern mod vibe, of which I’m totally digging this Summer!
Below I’m wearing the eye look I described earlier with Cheeky Bugger Blush on my cheeks and Strip Poker Lipstick & In Sync Lip Pencil on my lips.

Quads can be so hit or miss, this is definitely a good one. Shadowy Lady has always been a little meh for me, but with these other three shades it worked well!
Seriously, one of the best collections MAC has had for a while. I love that palette! My favorite purple is Sugarpill’s Poison Plum.
