The theme for the June 2014 ipsy Glam Bag is Pretty in Paradise. SO much better than last month. Though one item was a major dud the other items included for June are beachy must haves… and also… the bag is Rebecca Minkoff!
Below is the bag that houses the goods. Join me in a freak out as we realize that it’s designed by Rebecca Minkoff for ipsy. This black nylon bag has what I like to call a classy, tropical design with it’s red zipper and artsy pineapples. Also included with your shipment is a card letting you know that you can win a 1 year subscription by sharing your Glam bag on social media.
From Real Tree, for Her. This fragrance is really strong and really sweet. It’s almost sickeningly sweet, but in a good way. Does that make sense? I tend to like things that are more floral, but as this dies down the scent that lingers is wonderful.
From NYX, Butter Gloss. Of the 3 shades sent out I received the one in Crème Brulee. I adore this gloss. The shade is perfect, the feel of the formula is perfect… I mean… ipsy really can’t go wrong with putting NYX in the bags. Crème Brulee is swatched below on my lips and further down on my arm.
From Be a Bombshell, Lash Out Mascara. I love trying mascara. I can’t get enough of it. But this is the dud I spoke about earlier. When you open the tube it smells strongly of chemicals, so much so that I couldn’t even bring myself to put it near my eye. I spoke to a few other bloggers who did test it and they weren’t impressed, so at least I’m not missing out. It sucks to throw a full sized item in the trash, though.
From Marc Anthony, Dream Waves Beach Spray. This is my favorite Summer hair product ever! I reviewed this product awhile ago and still speak of it regularly. I go through at least 2 bottles every Summer!
From Ofra, Universal Eyebrow Pencil. I was introduced to Ofra this year at The Makeup Show, so I was extremely excited to see a product from them in this months bag! The eyebrow pencil is smooth and the formula fabulous. It’s not overly waxy but still holds brow hairs in place all day. A love!
Huge mascara dud aside I was really happy with this months ipsy bag. Three of the five products are major wins for me and I’ll use all of them up. Even though I threw out the mascara this bag was still worth $10.00, especially since it all arrived in the Rebecca Minkoff bag!
Ipsy does profile pages now, so here is mine. There is also a pretty amazing referral program in place. You refer friends and redeem points to get a sweet little bonus in your next bag. I’ve gotten some really fab full sized products as my bonuses, but, something new, you can use your points to choose your own bonus! I cashed in back in November for a full size NYX Cosmetics Bronze Smokey Look Kit (see photos and swatches here).
Here is where you can go to subscribe to ipsy for a Glam Bag.
What do you think about the June Glam Bag? Are you going to subscribe for July? I’m really excited to see what they have in store!

I was really pleased with the NYX lipgloss as well. Thankfully, my mascara didn’t smell, but I just want to let you know (in case the others haven’t) that if you contact Ipsy’s customers service about this issue, they will send you a replacement item.
Cheers!
Thank you! Someone did mention it, so I’ll remember for next time. Unfortunately I threw this out immediately =(
This looks like a great bag!

I’m a total slacker and didn’t review my bag yet 🙂 I was curious about that fragrance, it’s apparently made by the same company that makes camo supplies… I’m dead serious!

I got the same bag! I haven’t even opened the mascara yet.. I’m kinda scared to! lol. I didn’t think I’d like the Creme Brulee lippie from the packaging – it looked like an opaque nude to me – but I’m glad I saw your swatch, because now I want to try it. The opaque, really light pink/nude lippies just wash me out, but this one looks nice!

I’ve been using the Ofra eyebrow pencil every day since I got my bag so it paid for itself just with that one product. A good month!

I got the exact same bag as you. I liked everything except, of course, that stinky mascara!. Lots of people apparently have been complaining on Ipsy and Be a Bombshell and apparently they are re-testing the batch. I e-mailed IpsyCare and a ton of people did, so I’m not sure what they are doing about it.
Someone in a group I belong to on FB said they were sending her another Bombshell product. So it definitely doesn’t hurt to email!
Omg! Rebecca Minkoff, that’s awesome!
IPSY seems to be getting better every month. I love the NYX Butter Glosses too, but I need to check that shade out!
