The people in this house have suffered the eczema hard. My son has seemed to luck out and grow out of it somewhat (though every once in awhile I need to give him a bit of cream) but my daughter has flare ups quite a bit, always on her shoulder blades, thighs and stomach. Sometimes even the forearms and shins get rough. Personally, I get it on my forearms. Because we are the house of eczema I’m always down to test out the latest in relief, today that is the new and fragrance free Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream.
I’m a huge fan of Kate Somerville skin care on my face, so a cream to spot-treat and relieve skin irritation on the body is right up my alley.
This cream is thick but not so thick that it sits on top of your skin forever. The ingredients work to soothe and heal your itchy skin asap. My skin as well as my daughters skin are sensitive and this cream didn’t bother us in the slightest. I particularly like to dab this on the areas where I know we get eczema the worst to be preventative.
This cream is fantastic because you’re getting 4oz of product and a little goes a long way since it’s not the type of cream that is meant to smooth over your entire body. For me, I smooth a dab of the Eczema Therapy Cream on problem areas then usually use a spray lotion all over to moisturize my entire body. What do you use to treat eczema?
The Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream retails for $48.00 and is available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and katesomerville.com.
