The May 2014 Glossybox is a collab with Bergdorf Goodman! This box is full of products all available at Bergdorf Goodman and even included a $25 gift card to shop at the store! Since Glossybox only costs $21.00 a month they basically paid you to get the box this month! Check out what is in this months box and see a sneak peek for the June box at the end of this post!
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
Let’s check out the goodies inside the April 2014 GLOSSYBOX!
From Napoleon Perdis, Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer. This primer is meant to hydrate and smooth the skin resulting in a flawless finish for your makeup. It’s scented and reminds me of what a grandmothers soap smells like. It’s not offensive and fades quickly, but if you’re sensitive you might not like it. It dries quickly and doesn’t feel sticky, but I do prefer the Dior DreamSkin I’ve been trying much better.
From Revive, Intensite Volumizing Eye Serum. This serum feels awesome under my eyes and is very hydrating. It soaks in better than a cream and has a slight orange smell. Because this is a sample size, I can’t comment on the long term effects of this product but I’m definitely happy with the sample.
From Alterna, Caviar CC Cream. CC Cream for your hair! This is a 10-in-1 leave-in hair perfector – moisture, shine, smoothness, softness, UV protection, manageability, strength, anti-breakage, heat protection and light hold. This product smells fantastic and works really well in my hair. I’d definitely purchase a full size when this runs out.
From Atelier Cologne, Rose Anonyme Cologne Absolue. This is a strong and sultry scent. It’s almost a little too strong for me. I can definitely smell the rose and the patchouli. I’m not a big fan of patchouli, but this doesn’t bother me in that way. I can’t see myself using this, but I think it’s a heady scent that a lot of people will enjoy. Not too feminine, but not masculine at all.
From Lancer, Life Serum Intense. This serum uses pure gold and Stem Cell Recovery Complex to deliver firming & lifting effects to the skin. The moisture-holding molecules support the skin’s natural cycle in order for it to look smoother, firmer and younger. As with any skin care received as a sample, I can’t comment on the long term effects of this product. Based off of one use I can tell you that this smells amazing, smooths on nicely and doesn’t feel sticky as it dries. A little goes a long way, one pump will cover your entire face and it will be amazingly soft.
From Kevyn Aucoin, The Essential Mascara. This mascara is said to deliver glamorous lashes while curling and lengthening. I’m wearing two coats below and I must say I’m in LOVE and definitely using my gift card towards picking up a full size!
Obviously, the May shipment was completely worth the price and then some. SIX generous, deluxe samples and a $25 gift card to a premium retailer. Can’t beat that. PSA – if you received the May Glossybox note that the Bergdorf Goodman Gift Card expires June 15, 2014.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
SNEAK PEEK for June 2014!
The June 2014 Stars & Stripes Glossybox will include STRANGEBEAUTIFUL COLORBLOC! Exclusively designed for GLOSSYBOX, this patriotically- inspired pairing enables you to color your nails on the go effortlessly— outstanding for travel, airline friendly and splendid to hold. It is comprised of two saturated colors and housed in a compact design.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
What did you think of the May GlossyBox? Are you subscribing for June?

The price has basically kept me from trying Glossybox. I can stand getting a ‘meh’ $10 box, but not a $20 one! lol. This one sounds worth it, though, with the gift card and the mascara. I have a creme blush from Kevyn Aucoin, and it’s my absolute fave. Great stuff!
