Aside from the evil, creeptastic eye balls the most stand out feature on Maleficent’s face is her bright red lips (especially with Angelina Jolie rocking it, though the cheekbones are definitely up there). For the release of the movie Maleficent you should definitely be rocking a red lip today. MAC Cosmetics gives you the three products you’ll need the most in their recently released Maleficent Collection – True Love’s Kiss Lipstick, Anthurium Pro Longwear Lipglass and Kiss Me Quick Pro Longwear Lip Pencil.
It’s easier than you think to get those perfect, stunning red lips. MAC’s release really made the whole process unbelievably simple in that you can just go to maccosmetics.com or Macy’s and hook yourself up with some limited edition ruby beauties.
- Start with Kiss Me Quick Pro Longwear Lip Pencil (yellow red, $21.50). I’m a fan of this one from way back when it released in 2011. It’s the perfect red to hold your ruby pout in place for the day. I lined all around the lips with this and also filled in to the center.
- Next add on a coat of True Love’s Kiss Lipstick (clean bright red, $17.50). It’s an amplified formula, so it’s semi-glossy but satin and opaque. It wore beautifully and is making it’s home nicely in my red lips collection.
- Finally add on Anthurium Pro Longwear Lipglass (clean bright red, $22.00). I love this formula because it really locks the lip look into place as well as adds shine and dimension. It’s not super sticky when you wear it on top of the other products, which is always nice. =D
The end result is a warm, glossy, evil red lip ala Angelina Maleficent.
