For this week on Makeup Wars we decided to feature our favorite Coral/Peach lipstick. Here’s my problem – coral/peachy shades are almost as addicting to me as buying red lipstick, except I actually wear the peachy/coral shades on the daily. In a nutshell, I have way too many of them and they’re all my favorite.
To start off I decided to completely nix any product that wasn’t officially a lipstick. Meaning lip gloss, lipglass, lip pencils, lip crayons… all of those were out. I laid out the remaining lip products and slowly began to eliminate. I was left with three shades that I couldn’t possibly say no to – so I figured they could all be my faves and I could just give them awards!
Prettiest Packaging – MAC Ever Hip Lipstick (Liberty of London Collection)
I can’t even believe this collection is from 2010. Ever Hip has released within a few collections but none have had prettier packaging than Liberty of London.
Most Opaque – MAC Mangrove Lipstick (Proenza Schouler Collection)
I didn’t think anything this bold in the “orange-ish” category could ever capture my heart but Mangrove has definitely done it. Super opaque and the hue rocks my socks off. Oddly, I’m very comfortable wearing this shade which is something I never would’ve thought would happen.
Coolest Formula – Too Faced Melted Coral Liquified Long Wear Lipstick
Okay, so maybe I could’ve gone and eliminated this one since it’s not a solid lipstick, but for all intents and purposes it is a lipstick. It stays on for hours upon hours and is the perfect coral!
What is your favorite peachy/coral lipstick?
I gotta get my hands on one of those Too Faced Melted lip colors, everybody keeps on talking about it!

I have a pink MAC in that packaging and I love it just for the packaging. I was the opposite as you on my list – I mostly have glosses and only a few lipsticks in this color family.

I own too many coral/peach shades, but I’m not sure how many of them actually look good on me, but I can’t seem to get rid of them because they’re so pretty!

OMG I love Ever Hip too. I hate that it was a limited edition collection. but wow more important 2010 flew by. Holy geeze, I am on the search for a dupe for it, and my be close. I really need to try the Too Faced Melted. All these reviews make me NEED it. Great choices!!

The only reason I didn’t include Melted Coral is that I just think it looks so unflattering on me. I love the formula! That MAC color is so pretty, too.
