This product had the potential to be my most favorite ipsy product of all time. The shade of blue is gorgeous and I haven’t found anything quite like it before. Unfortunately the tip runs out of product rather quickly, making it temperamental to apply. I actually had to go over it with a blue kohl liner to even up the line and the shade (see below). Disappointing, because I really thought it would be holy grail.

From NYX, Love in Rio Eye Shadow. There are a lot of color options in this palette but the one I received in my Glam Bag was Cabana Boy. I love the formula on NYX shadows and I’m always happy to get them. This is a fabulous trio of golden brown shades that look fabulous on the eye and pair well with the blue liner! I reviewed a few of the other shades last year, swatches are here.

March 2014 ipsy Glam Bag swatchesThis was a great month for ipsy. I adore the NYX trio and am glad to have a compact lipstick in my “night out” shade for my makeup bag. The contents of this bag was definitely worth the $10 so I am absolutely in for April.

    I got the same bag! I was hoping for that Bombshell eyeshadow quad, but I do like the NYX one. The Moxie lipcolor is so buttery, and I love the color. I only swatched with the Chella – love the blue, hope the application isn’t as spotty as you experienced. 🙁 Great review, as always!

    I loved my bag, too. Only difference I had from your bag was the shade of NYX shadows, mine in Bikini Bottom. I’m older, and really can’t wear the shimmers, but the pink shade in my trio might work as a brow highlighter.
    I absolutely adored the little bag- best one yet! Do you know that I heard from other online blogs that there was a BIG uproar over this bag, that a ton of people hated it? I can’t see that, but people are different.
    BTW, how do you get your eyeliner so perfect and uniform? Looks really nice. Also, agree with you on the Chella liner. I love it, but the tip DOES run out of product too soon and really annoys me. I hope they can get this problem solved. Loved the color, harkens me back to my college days wearing cobalt blue in the 80’s. Still love it!

      I didn’t hear about the uproar? This was one of my favorite bags as well, I think it’s fun and just the right size. There’s always a big uproar over art, I guess when it adorns a makeup bag it’s no different.

      Eyeliner wise I’m just super slow and meticulous. I did line first with the Chella and the pigment was too uneven for me to be able to go out in public. I went over it with Chanel Marine Le Crayon Kohl, but any other navy liner would work. OMG we are totally running top speed back to the late 80’s and grunge 90’s. I walked through American Eagle yesterday laughing like hell at the latest “fashions”. Should’ve saved all of the clothes I wore in middle school haha
