Zoya Magical Pixie Nail Polish Collection Swatches & Review

February 28, 2014

Press Sample

The Zoya Pixie’s have been hard at work cooking up their latest collection creation – Magical Pixie. Lux, Vega and Cosmo are insanely gorgeous in the bottle and on the nail… I’m at a loss for a favorite!

Zoya Magical Pixie Nail Polish Collection Swatches ReviewFormula wise they’re all the same. The rough, sandy texture is again there but this time scattered with glittery holographic goodness. Below I painted them all on with two coats but three probably would’ve provided more coverage for the photos. IRL you can’t see any bare nail with the two coats because the shimmer and holo are so fantastical. These dry matte and I saw little difference when using a top coat.

Lux is described as a Rose Quartz Sparkle Textured PixieDust with Mega Hex Iridescent Particles.

Zoya Vega Nail Polish Swatches Zoya Vega Nail Polish Swatches no flashZoya Vega Nail Polish Swatches macroEarlier this week on Manifest Destany I saw she did a gradient manicure with these three shades and I totally fell in love with the look. The effect looks so much better on her nails because the length and shape of them is amazing, plus… girl has got skill! Anyway, I tried it – here’s what I got:

For BEST RESULTS when applying Zoya PixieDust: apply 2-3 thin coats of polish for full coverage to a clean oil free nail surface. Allow product to dry completely for full effect. Do not use abase coat or top coat. Top coat can be applied for additional glossy effects.

Zoya Magical Pixie Nail Polish retails for $10.00 each or $30.00 for the set of three. These polishes and more are available at Zoya.com. For more information on this collection, please see the official press release.

These nail polishes look amazing. I have honestly never seen a glittery nail polish that looked this good 🙂 I was just wondering what their staying power was like/ how easily do they chip?

It depends on how many coats you plan on giving it. The more you layer the more likely I have found that it chips. However, the sparkle/glitter/holo makes it a little less noticeable unless you’re right up on it =D

A mermaid would so be into this! Like colored, holo sand on their nails. Perfect!

Nice gradient! These are so pretty and blingy, but I’m not sure I like how chunky they are – and I love textured polishes, for the most part. I did try one of Nails Inc Beaded polishes, and was completely turned off!

Chunky glitter is not my cup of tea, mainly because of tough removal, but I do like the colors 🙂 Fab swatches!

Removal definitely stinks, no doubt about it. Normally when I use a glitter it’s just on an accent nail. I’m lazy but I love the bling lol

I like them both actually! I’ve seem them swatched recently too and I just am surprised how much they are growing on me. I’m a fan of metallics, creams, and jellies if polish ever does come into play for me. So surprise surprise!
