Before today I was one of those people who would look at the JINsoon Nail Lacquers and do something along the lines of dream and drool. It’s one of those cases where I loved everyone’s swatch photos but hesitated in buying any because I couldn’t play in person. Between Michelle from All Lacquered Up‘s swatches and high verbal praise, I broke down. An addict is born.
What Sephora says about JINsoon Tibi Collection Nail Lacquer:
What it is:
A high-gloss, long-lasting nail lacquer with a chip-proof finish and a rapid drying time.What it does:
This double-patented formula delivers a long-lasting manicure with a rich and lustrous color payoff in a single coat. High-tech polymers and resins ensure longer wear and an extended shelf life while UV filters protect against fading and yellowing of color. The collection represents a polished and utilitarian look, consisting of five revolutionary shimmering shades. Named for their mineral-like appearance, the five colors each possess their own unique characteristics. What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– PhthalatesWhat else you need to know:
The A La Mode: Tibi Collection™ is the Fall/Winter 2013 collaboration of JINsoon and women’s wear designer Amy Smilovic of Tibi. The formula is also 5-Free and was created without the toxic chemicals formaldehyde, toluene, DPB, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.
Without Flash, Inside (by a window):
Obsidian has a black base and is loaded with a random rainbow of glitter, with the most apparent color being a fuchsia purple. It looks like the galaxy exploded all over my nails. The formula on this polish was lovely. It dried quickly, applied evenly and wore well, becoming completely opaque in two coats.
JINsoon Nail Lacquer retails for $18.00 and is available at Sephora.
I love your nails and it’s obvious you take very good care of them. Are your nails completely natural or do you have some acrylic or something on them? I ask as I’m debating whether or not to have them done. Thanks for your input!
Thank you! Mine are real, but I love you for thinking they’re nice enough to be acrylic lol I was a nail biter forever so around 12th grade I started to get acrylic so I’d stop biting. I stopped with it about 9 years ago and ended up with natural nails on my wedding day =) I’ll never go back to acrylic, though. They made my nails very weak and I still have ridges to this day =( And even some dips on my thumb nails. They were really damaging.
Thanks! Any thoughts on gel polish salon or home products? I’ve just recently came across your blog so you may have reviewed them before.
I’m not sure about gel, I haven’t personally used an at home set. This website gives an excellent comparison of gel vs acrylic. https://thenailteacher.com/2011/03/acrylic-vs-gel-nails/ Gel appears better, but is less durable. She shows comparison photos too =)
Thanks!
Any time!!!
I love this! I’m such a sucker for glittery blacks
