The colors may not look exciting, and the Gwen Stefani by OPI Nail Polish Collection colors are conventional… with a twist. Pair that up with a music icon and you have a complete must-have collection.
Love. Angel. Music. Baby. is gold with a satin finish. There is a texture to it but it’s more smooth than rough. You can do one thick coat or two thin coats (as shown below)
Hey Baby is a cool pink cream, less neon IRL than what you see in the pictures. It’s that perfect shade of pink that isn’t ready to be considered girly. It’s like Barbie with an attitude adjustment towards diva. Two coats.
In True Stefani Fashion has a clear base with a lot of silver glitter and larger holo square glitter randomly thrown in. I love that you can get good glitter application without a fight on this one! One coat is shown over Hey Baby.
I Sing in Color is an interesting name for a shade that is a blackened maroon cream. The application was smooth and easy on this one. It’s actually one of my faves! Two coats shown below.
4 In the Morning is a graphite shade in a satin finish. It went on so well and looks so chic! I adore this finish <3 Two coats shown below.
Push and Shove is a silvered chrome polish with a mirrored effect. To get this effect you must use one thin coat of Lay Down That Base (included) and then top it off with two thin coats of Push and Shove.
This is likely the coolest polish I’ve ever seen. It’s totally fun and completely different. However, it shows EVERY (and I do mean every) nail imperfection… dips, ridges, peels… whatever you have going on. All Lacquered Up shows Push and Shove over several other bases, so clearly you need to use Lay Down That Base… Since this is a mini bottle let’s hope they make more to buy or you’ll be running out of base before polish. It’s also important to mention that this says on the back of the packaging “Like all limited engagement events, Push and Shove is intended for One Night Only wear”.
Over & Over A-Gwen is a bright red cream. Maybe not something you’d look twice at (unless you’re me and need every red nail polish and lipstick in existence) but this one comes specially packaged with Swarovski elements to embellish and spice it up a bit. Two coats shown below.
Below is the first look I did with this. I thought it was laid-back but fun:
But then I thought it was boring and needed more red and came up with this:
I really like how when you put Over and Over A-Gwen on top of Love. Angel. Music. Baby. it makes the red into a shimmer! SO pretty!
How would you wear the colors in the Gwen Stefani by OPI Collection?

The one that came on my camera =\ I’m so bad at lenses haha I bought filters and stuff but no clue on how to use them. The numbers say Canon Zoom Lens 35x IS and on the bottom 4.3-150.5mm 1:2.7-5.8 USM. The camera model is a Canon Powershot SX40 HS. I went into Sams Club last year when I broke my camera and said give me something with good macro that won’t break the bank and I left with this. =)
Gwen has a magic touch! I wonder if she’ll ever do a full makeup line. Love the nail art!

Like you, I think that mirror effect shade is totally cool, but it makes me feel very conscious about my nails, since it accentuates every imperfection. I polish my nails specifically to hide them, arggg! 🙂

I totally think about nail imperfections on my polish choice too… ugh. =( I can’t quit Push & Shove, though!
I love the pink color the most. I also love the creative design you came up with!

I really liked this collex – I bought 4 in the Morning, Push and Shove, and my fave – Love.Angel.Music.Baby. I don’t wear a lot of gold polish, but this one is a must-have. The satin finish really makes it sophisticated. Great nail art look on you!

I love how you wore the red, gold and glitter! Fab. I need to go back and buy the gold, I only bought 4 in the morning and Push and Shove.
