I’ve had these in my possession for around a month now, and I can’t even believe it’s taken me this long to post about! I’ve been using the powdered cheese out of both the Rihanna for M·A·C Love Rihanna Bronzing Powder and Cosmetic Bag from the RiRi Hearts M·A·C Holiday 2013 Collection and have been dying to share. I seriously have no idea where the last month even went.
Starting off the Love Rihanna Bronzing Powder ($30.00) is simply beautiful. What immediately drew me to this powder were the words “rose gold”. I’m at that point in my life (who isn’t) that anything that is listed as rose gold will likely make it’s way back to live at my house.
Formula wise this was lovely. Soft with fabulous pigment, easy to blend onto the cheek area or into another powder for contouring. There was some slight fading after a days wear, which on me is around 8 hours or so.
The two shades of this powder – a deep, slightly shimmery tan and a golden metallic copper – coordinate well, making the blended shade (far right) a light rose gold with a sheen. However, the raised R/copper metallic shade is, unfortunately, just an overspray (curses! *shakes fist*) and will be completely gone after a few uses. The shade you’ll be left with is what you see swatched below to the far left. Still lovely, but without that sheen that made it rose gold.
I also purchased the RiRi Hearts M·A·C Holiday Cosmetics Bag ($40.00). I know… you can get some really nice makeup bags free with a purchase of pretty much anything… but this is quilted rose gold, you guys. Don’t judge me. The size is excellent and it’s just so beautiful. Is it worth $40? Nope. But clearly everyone needs this. No buyers remorse at all. I call it a win.
Did you pick up anything from RiRi Hearts M·A·C Holiday?
You can still purchase these items online at Nordstrom (Bronzer, Cosmetics Bag), Bloomingdales (Bronzer) and maccosmetics.com (Bronzer, Cosmetics Bag).
