For Holiday 2013 (yeah, I know, it’s passed – but I’ve still seen these around!) Nicole by OPI has added to the Modern Family line-up with 5 new, limited edition nail lacquers.
Late Blu-mer is a frosty, smurf blue. It reminds me of those scratch and sniff stickers that smell like blueberries! Only it doesn’t smell like blueberries lol The finish is a little streaky, but it painted on well and was opaque in two coats.
Who Red My Journal??? is a warm, red shimmer. This painted on well and was opaque in two coats.
Spark the Conversation has a clear base and square holo glitter. This was a pain to apply but I do like that it’s in a square shape. It takes a little bit of maneuvering, but in the end makes a nice effect. One coat is shown below over Who Red My Journal???.
Aren’t Families Grape? is a frosty, deep purple shimmer. The was a bit streaky but I liked the formula and it was opaque in two coats.
You’re My Treasure has a clear base and different sized hex glitters that are holo and gold. There are also large gold diamond shaped glitters that I LOVE. I’m slightly obsessed with how this looks on the nail… it shines like diamonds. However I’m torn because it wasn’t easy to apply… you couldn’t stroke the polish on.. you had to daub and push. In the end, worth it. Below is one coat shown over Aren’t Families Grape?. (top photo w/ flash, bottom photo w/out flash)

It was just a release at some CVS locations. Oddly, my CVS never gets anything good and they had these lol They still have some!
I love both the clear bases, but I’m admittedly useless with polish that needs some extra finessing.. still, so pretty!

Spark the Conversation is a nice glitter topper! It’s sparse enough to let the “undie” really show thru.
