The theme for the December 2013 GlossyBox is Happy Holidays. This is actually a great assortment of products for New Years and any parties thereafter, as it contains beauty items to have you looking and smelling fantastic.
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
So, what is in the December 2013 GLOSSYBOX? Let’s check it out!
From Anatomicals, You Need A Blooming Shower! I love the name of this. It makes me smile and laugh a bit, which immediately makes me relax. This is a shower gel loaded with a mix of aloe vera, witch hazel, rose and jasmine. It’s got a very floral scent, perhaps a little too strong for me, but if you love floral you will love this!
From Michael Todd True Organics, the Pumpkin Mask. This particular product has been in quite a few subscription boxes since I’ve been subscribing to them, most recently in the August 2013 ipsy bag. This is the review I posted in August (since I didn’t feel the need to review it again and I’m still working on that tube from Summer!) “This smells like pumpkin pie and will make you want to eat your own face. But don’t, because you’re hopefully not on bath salts and you’ll want to use this for a clean feeling face. It says to leave it on for 5-10 min but my skin is sensitive and this tingles… which made me nervous so I only left it on for two minutes. My skin still looked and felt awesome, though. After reading some of the ipsters reviews that it felt burny I’m glad I didn’t leave it on too long.”
From Ardency Inn, PUNKER World’s Baddest Eyeliner. Another product with an awesome name! I detect a theme! This eyeliner really is bad@$$. It’s got a thick marker type applicator which is tapered – perfect for making a precise thick or thin line. After it sets it’ll stay the day.
From Naobay, Oxygenating Cream Moisturizing. This is used to keep the surface of your skin balanced with a special composition based on essential oils (rosehip, sweet almond oil). This smells wonderful and was definitely moisturizing.
From Nails Inc., Victoria Nail Polish. A deep, glossy, jelly burgundy. It’s so shiny and flawless – a total love. Definitely using this for my next pedi. This took three coats for full opacity.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
I’m loving the items in this months box, and the value is definitely there with the inclusion of several full sized and deluxe items. My favorite item is definitely the Ardency Inn Eyeliner, and I hope we see more items from this line included in future GlossyBoxes! I also loved the Nails Inc Nail Polish. This is a fabulous brand with high quality product, perfect for GlossyBox!
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**

After seeing Glossybox everywhere, I just had to try it. So far I enjoy it more than others, because they offer High end luxury cosmetics and hair products. It helps me because I don’t usually have to worry about getting the same item over and over.

I had the same box. I love the polish and the Ardency Inn. I was super excited to see those. The Anatomicals is way too strong for me but my blog partner will love it.

Do I really need another sub box? Hmm.. if they all look like this, then I’m tempted! I’ve been hearing a lot about Ardency Inn, and I want to try their stuff now. I’m not punk, but a little part of me wants to feel that way, ya know?

The Ardency Inn Liner looks quite nice! The box looks a bit heavy on the skincare for me though

Yeah normally there’s a decent mix of things in there. As long as it doesn’t happen every month, though, I’m okay with it haha

Box twinsies! I thought the eyeliner wasn’t black enough, but maybe that’s just me 🙂

It definitely wasn’t a deep dark black, but I usually go for that … sometimes I think black is too harsh on me…

I love the Ardency Inn liner. It looks like they changed the packaging a little; the top cover is rounded.
