I just couldn’t resist the MAC Antonio Lopez 6 Eyes Palette: Teal. The artwork on the packaging is awesome, and we all know how that drags me in…. the colors in this particular palette are just so drool-worthy to look at that it definitely made me feel like this was a no-brainer for purchase.

The 6 Color Eyeshadow Palettes each feature a highly pigmented powder formula that applies evenly while blending and building beautifully. It comes in three color sets so you can choose the palette that works best for you.
Teal: The Teal palette features Dark Teal, Black with Pink Pearl, Charcoal with Crystalline Frost, Sparkling Silver, Pearlescent Blue and Glittery Blackened Olive.
The Teal palette features six shades – Colourful Life dark teal (veluxe pearl), Fashion Legend black with pink pearl (lustre), Nighttrain charcoal grey with crystalline frost (lustre), Sex & Disco sparkling cool silver (lustre), Freshwater mid-tone sparkling blue with blue pearl (veluxe pearl), Sketchbook glittery blackened olive (lustre).
Freshwater is part of the permanent line of MAC shadows and was really the only one that didn’t feel dry. Colourful Life (like Freshwater) is also a Veluxe Pearl, and it was okay, just not what I’m used to for that particular finish… it was rough for a VP. Lustre finishes are my least favorite of all of the MAC shadow finishes, but every once in awhile you’ll get a good one. Within this set of 4 lustres, Sketchbook was probably the best… yet wasn’t anything I’d rebuy.
I was pretty disappointed that the creative packaging art didn’t translate well to the inside of the palette in terms of quality. I imagine I’ll use the teal the most out of all of these shades, but if I reach for any of the others I’ll definitely be putting them over a colored base. In hindsight it unfortunately wasn’t worth the money.
