Because of my em cosmetics obsession lately I had to go for that deal and I picked up the Amazing Grey Waterliner, Be Mine Creamy Color Classic Lipstick and the Beach Life – Summer Getaway Life Palette Sampler.

The Life Palettes (full sized) are $75.00 and though you’re getting quite a bit of product, it’s a lot of money and an investment. I love the idea of the sampler ($10.00) so you can be sure you do love the colors involved. For this starter kit I chose the Beach Life Sampler in Look 2 Summer Getaway. You get three of the eyeshadow shades in Look 2 as well as one of the glosses. These beachy fun browns and shimmering coral pinks are what I usually gravitate towards in the Summer months, and I definitely go for the bronzes and browns all year long.

Below I’m wearing the bronze shade all over the lid, the golden coral shimmer in the crease and the deep brown in the outer V. The liner is Marc Jacobs Ro(cocoa) Highliner Gel Crayon and the mascara is em cosmetics Lash Gallery Dramatic Volume Waterproof Mascara.

The Waterliner is what started all of this. It just sounds amazing to me… a liner that actually stays on the waterline. I wanted all of them, of course, but after looking at swatches decided on Amazing Grey. It’s the perfect shade of grey to wear with colorful looks or if I’m just not feeling into the harshness of a black shade of liner. Lovely pigment and very easy to use. I’m also happy to report that it did stay on my waterline all day long!

The Lipsticks have been getting praise web-wide from everyone I’ve spoken to and also everywhere I’ve read. I chose the Creamy Color Classic Lipstick in Be Mine because it’s a deep pinky rose that I find myself reaching for as frequently as a nude in the winter months. It is uber pigmented and creamy, leaving my lips feeling moisturized.
