So, what is in the November 2013 GLOSSYBOX? Let’s check it out!
From Mastey, Color Protection Color Protecting Leave-In Oil Treatment. While the name of the product is a little redundant this treatment really works well for color treated and/or damaged hair. I concentrate the product mostly on the ends of my strands and then work up, keeping the oil off of my crown. There was also a 20% off coupon to use towards your first purchase.
From The Aloe Source, Jojoba Radiance Cleansing Polish. This face polish has a very light and lovely fragrance to it. Not over-powering at all. The small micro-beads weren’t at all painful feeling and when I washed it off my face felt very smooth.
From Nicka K, the New York Professional Eyeshadow Brush. This brush is nice and soft, and thankfully very inexpensive. It’s more of a crease/blending brush but I like it just as much as my expensive ones.
From Jelly Pong Pong, the 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow in Steel. This is such an interesting shade. It almost looks like it has hints of evergreen to it. Nice to apply and easy to smudge, though definitely wear it over a good eyeshadow primer.
From Emite Makeup, Micronized Eye Shadow in Dams. This matte black is nicely pigmented and smooth, lovely to pair with the Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 for a really sultry, smudged rocker look. Wear over a primer and apply before face makeup just in case you get fall-out. I did experience a bit, personally.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
I’m super pleased with the items in this months box, and the value is definitely there with the inclusion of several full sized items. The 2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow from Jelly Pong Pong is my favorite item this month, and I’ll definitely be getting a lot of use out of it.
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
I’ve never been subscribed to Glossybox but I’ve been thinking about it for a while. It looks great and like a lot of fun to unpack every week.
This looks lovely! I will admit, with so many beauty boxes around I sort of lost interest but this has a really good selection of products! 🙂
