Dior has a new, permanent blush! Why does that sentence require an exclamation point at the end? Because it’s actually amazing, and I didn’t have high hopes because I wasn’t super crazy about the previous blushes in the core line. Also, I’m ridiculous types of happy over the raised Dior etching in the powder! (It’s the little things, work with me).
The Vibrant Color Powder Blush formula is available in eight shades, and today we’ll be focusing on Cocktail Peach.
What Nordstrom says about Dior Vibrant Color Powder Blush:
Dior’s legendary blush returns with a new texture formulated to blend with your skin, leaving you with a weightless veil of color.
Pro tip:
– For a fusion look: Use the flat side of a brush to blend color with the skin for a healthy glow.
– For a sculpted look: Use the beveled end of the brush for professional contouring application at the temples, around the oval of the face and to sculpt the chin.
The packaging is what we’ve come to expect from Dior, with the navy blue plastic casing and silver print, the interior housing a mirror and brush. The brush is okay for travel, but I tend to dislike the included brushes in blushes and shadows. At least this one has a nice slant, making it easy to apply on the go.
Cocktail Peach is a warm peachy shade with a hint of pink. I loved how seamlessly this blush applied and blended. It’s such a demure color, no matter how much I layered it never appeared to become over-bearing on my skin, yet there was still good pigment. The finish was luminous, but not shimmery. It’s really a fantastic cheek product from Dior – smooth and luxurious.
What do you think of the new formula? I think next time I’ll be going for a bronze shade (such as Mimi Bronze) to pair up with this one!
Dior Vibrant Color Powder Blush retails for $42.00 and is available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Sephora, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and dior.com.
okay looooove this peachy shade, the upcoming spring season makes me crave peaches….
I’ve just started trying Dior products and have found my perfect foundation so wanted to venture into blush. The brush that comes in it is very soft and will due for touch ups or for travel.
What a gorgeous colour! I love that there’s a luminosity to it, without any glitter or shimmer. Thanks for the review! x
