If you’re a lover of Too Faced Lip Injection then you’ve probably already heard of their new Color Bomb! Moisture Plumping Lip Tint. This product is available in six shades, so I ran off to Sephora to pick my fave shade for review, which ended up being Never Enough Nude.
What Sephora says about Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb! Moisture Plumping Lip Tint:
What it is:
A lip tint that combines Lip Injection’s plumping technology with an explosion of satin color stain to create the look of fuller, luscious lips. What it does:
This ultraconditioning balm combines Lip Injection plumping and blood vessel dilating technology with a satin color stain and a hint of sexy shine. Lip Injection Color Bomb! is packed with Vitamins A, C, and E and loaded with mango butter to drench lips in an all-day moisture for a softer, smoother, plumper pout. What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– ParabensWhat else you need to know:
This 100 percent cruelty-free tint comes in a variety of new shades, including a special fiery red inspired by actress Francesca Eastwood, who also created its signature name Eastwood Red.
Never Enough Nude is described as a warm beige. It comes across on me as a peachy-nude. My initial reaction was that of love. It is the perfect nude shade and wore nicely, applied easily… all cards falling into place for an A+ product. Also, it actually seemed to be plumping!
As I was taking swatch photos on my arm my mouth started to burn. Not tingle… searing, burning pain. The unbearable kind. This type of reaction to a lip plumping product is highly unusual for me. I’m that person who loves the feeling that the original Too Faced Lip Injection and DuWop Lip Venom give to the lips. I quickly scrubbed my lips to remove all traces of the product but they still burned and stung. I applied an ice pack for about 10-15 minutes. When I took it off my lips were red, as well as the skin around them and still throbbing. During that time I also removed the color from my arm and was met with red, irritated skin (see below).

What you see above is just my skin. It was more intense and a little raised in person. The nude shade of the lipstick is completely removed. My skin stayed like that for around 24 hours and the product only laid on my skin directly for about 5 minutes.
I definitely do not recommend this product and I’m still not over the shock of how my skin reacted to it. I spoke to a few other people who had a similar reaction. It’s unfortunate, because I’d have definitely bought the other shades if I hadn’t had that reaction. Oddly, I swatched them all in store on the back of my hand and my skin didn’t react at all. Maybe the batch? I don’t know, but mine went back immediately.
Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb! Moisture Plumping Lip Tint retails for $21.00 and is available at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and toofaced.com.
Hi, I just have used this product but I can’t find it to buy. Do you know sites or stores that sell it? Best regards.
Hi! Sorry, I don’t…. if it’s not on the usual websites there is a chance that they discontinued it. I had a reaction to the product and at the time when I looked up reviews saw that I wasn’t the only one. If it was popular enough in sales it’s a possibility that they’d reformulate and re-release. Good luck finding it! I always hate when my faves are discontinued. =(
You nailed the description of the reaction – “burning, searing pain”. I had exactly that reaction on both skin and lips, and my skin had trauma and inflammation through my forearm. Terrible. I wish they would add an allergies disclaimer to the packaging or do more conclusive trials.

The same thing happened to me! I returned it ASAP! I to have used lip venom and lip injection in the past but never had the horrible experience like I did with this product!! Extreme burning and the outline of my lips were so red it looked and felt horrible.

Isn’t it an awful feeling? I’m so sad too because it’s a great shade and idea =(
Oh, I really like the packaging of this product! And that warm color looks really nice. I’d like to try this 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
