OPI Miss Universe® 2013 Nail Lacquers Swatches & Review

This year OPI is keeping the Miss Universe® Collection small but royal by featuring two shades of purple – I’m Feeling Sashy,  Miss You-niverse – and a foil silver – This Gown Needs a Crown – in a new formula!

I’m Feeling Sashy is a vintage dusky purple cream.  Color-wise this is my favorite shade of the three in this collection.  Below I used two coats for the photo but wish now that I’d went for a third.

Miss You-niverse is a deep blackened plum cream.  This painted on thickly, but easily.  It was the perfect amount of polish to coat the nail but not get away from you.  I used two coats below, but really only one was needed for full opacity.

This Gown Needs a Crown boasts a different sort of finish, a satin finish.  For the satin finish it basically dries to a matte and is to be worn without a top coat.  It’s a little grainy feeling but still gives off a major silvery foil shine.  Two coats were used below.  Oh, and a cutesy little crown is featured on each bottle 😉

These shades will be available October 2013, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.
