September 2013 GlossyBox Photos & Review

October 6, 2013

The theme for the September 2013 GlossyBox is All You Need for Fall – focusing on the beginning of the Fall season (a GlossyBox and Blushing Noir fave!), where the leaves are changing and sexy sandals are traded in for our favorite boots.  The products in this months box are all you’ll need to transition your look into Fall’s most fashionable.

IMG_8025Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.

So, what is in the September 2013 GLOSSYBOX?  Let’s check it out!

IMG_8029 IMG_8030 IMG_8038 IMG_8052 IMG_8149From BCBGMAXAZRIA – Bon Genre Eau de Parfum.  Though this is not a full sized bottle, what I love is that it’s much, much bigger than a sample vial that you’d get for free somewhere.  It contains a healthy amount of product in a spray tube and even has a cap (purse leakage be saved!).  The scent is refreshingly seductive but has a serious edge to it.  It’s on the strong side, but almost sweet.  I’m intrigued enough to say I like it.

From Be a Bombshell – Eyeliner Pen in Onyx.  Forgive my lack of swatch of this, but it’s just a black eyeliner pen.  Note, a black eyeliner pen with the most amazing applicator.  It resembles a marker, but what’s awesome is that you can use the tip for a fine line, or hold it to the side to make it thick.  Really easy to use and bust out a major cat-eye.  It’s long-wearing and water-resistant, so you can be confident raccoon eyes won’t be invading mid-day.

From Emite Makeup – Eyelash Curler.  Really, eyelash curlers do next to nothing for me.  A few of the good ones will give me a bit more of a lift, but my lashes have a natural curl to them as it is.  This one is one of the good ones, so at a retail of $30 a pop it’s a nice item to get in your GlossyBox.  It also has three extra replacement pads included.

From Nioxin – Diamax Treatment.  I’ve actually used this before!  I lost so much hair after I had my daughter.  They say it stops falling out after six months and I’m here to tell you that’s not always the case.  They were checking my thyroid a lot because I lost a ton of hair and half an eyebrow.  A hair stylist at Ulta recommended spritzing the crown of my head with this treatment.  It wasn’t an overnight miracle worker, but by taking special vitamins and using this treatment my hair stopped falling out and started to grow back.  It truly does aid in giving a healthy and strong head of hair.  Also, this is a full size item with a retail of $50.00.  The value in this months box is insane!

From Oceane – Makeup Remover Pen.  I love getting things like this.  I can’t stand getting a dot of mascara somewhere on my eyelid or cheek area and having to bust out a makeup remover wipe.  It feels like such a waste.  With this you can easily clean up any makeup oopsies and it even comes with three replacement heads!

*****

With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, nails, fragrance… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.

I’m super pleased with the items in this months box, and the value is out of this world.  I’m excited to work the Nioxin back into my daily routine and aside from the eyelash curler every single thing is something I’ll use frequently for Fall.

GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service.  You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year.  You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box.  This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.

The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to.  At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.

GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products.  After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package.  So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.

**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review.  You can use these toward your own free box!**
