Just in case the incredible Chanel Fall 2013 Superstition Collection wasn’t enough for you, the release of Jeux de Regards should satisfy you… at least until Holiday rolls around
Perhaps my favorite parts of any Chanel collection are the eye products. In particular, the Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow palettes. Jeux de Regards just happens to have two – Seduction and today’s post of Fascination.
What Nordstrom says about the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow:
One essential compact offers unlimited eye looks, with shade combinations ranging from matte to frost to satin for multiple looks, contrasting or complementary. Apply dry for subtle shadowing. Slightly moistened applicator gives a more intense shade. Organic polymer derivatives ensure smudge-proof long wear, particularly in high temperature or humidity.
Fascination is a quartet of blue shades from each end of the spectrum… a lovely cerulean, an icy white blue, a deep teal and a greyed navy blue. Above the shadows are swatched on my arm using the included sponge-tipped applicators, dry without a primer.
I adore this quad from Chanel. I might love Seduction a little bit more, but Fascination is a more girls-night-out, smoked type of love. All of the shades were easy to apply and blend, with very little fall-out issues. I had some with the deep teal shade but I used it for the outer area of the lower lash line. Honestly, I love that deep teal shade so much that it can do whatever it wants and I’ll always take it back with open arms.
For this EOTD I started off with a primer (I use UDPP). The cerulean blue is on the lid, the greyed navy blue in the crease and the deep teal is at the outer-V and lightly under the outer part of the lower lash line. The icy white blue was used at the inner corners and to highlight from crease to brow (use this shade sparingly, it’s intensely frosty). The eye liner is Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in Marine Blue blended with a bit of the deep teal shade from the quad. The mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex and Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant layered.
