Everything is always busy, busy. We’re short on time, we’re short on money. If there were some way to save both time and money and not have to exert yourself in any way, you’d do it, right? Right.

I set my clock in the car ahead 12 minutes! That way, I feel an urgency, but I’m not really late. 😉 Scientific by no means, but it works for me!

I like to conquer lateness by setting up reminders, I have a terrible memory so I also like to get things ready the day before or even sooner depending on the event 🙂

I set the alarm on my phone to go off several times reminding of something important. Especially after I missed well child exams for my twins!

i set phone reminders!
I am always early!!!! I have clothes and accessories planned ahead, the husband is in charge of letting the dog out. We don’t have kids so that does make it easier. But we just always have everything ready to go, if possible the night before, so we aren’t running around last minute.

I ALWAYS make sure every clock I own is set 30 minutes fast, this way I am USUALLY early for everything I need to do. Plus I try to get organized the night before, Mornings in my house are so stressful and if it wasn’t for my lists.. I would forget everything.
https://twitter.com/A25983/status/393045570815672320
i have learnt that late people always aim to arrive to the minute, leaving no room for contingency. Say you need to get to work at 9:00. You assume it takes exactly 12 minutes to get to work, so you leave at 8:48. If you miss one traffic light or have to run back inside to grab an umbrella, it becomes impossible to make it in on time. Don’t chance it. you should plan to be everywhere 15 minutes early. i always apply this strategy to never plan and it works always.
I conquer lateness by marking the appointment time on my calendar as 15 minutes earlier than the appointment and then I always give myself 15 minutes extra drive time. Basically, I arrive everywhere about 20 minutes early instead of 10 minutes late.
For bills, I conquer lateness by paying all my bills at the beginning of the month (kind of necessary when you only get paid once a month). I also set calendar alerts for each bill the day before it’s due. That way, I can double check to make sure I didn’t forget to pay it at the beginning of the month.

I try to have a regular routine for recurring tasks so I’m consistent on when I pay things, when I leave the house, etc. so I’m not late.

I make a lot of lists and often have several copies so I can mark things off whenever I think about it. I also have my bills scheduled on my computer so I don’t forget to pay them on time. Due to a portion of income from rental property it isn’t always in my bank account at the same time every month so automatic bill pay just doesn’t work for me.
try to prepare ahead of time so i’m actually some times early

I like to be on time or even a few minutes early, but I am notorious for getting lost, which often makes me late. I build extra travel time into my schedule to allow for getting lost, not finding parking, etc. I also use Google Maps to map my route if I’ve not been there before.

I put reminders on my phone one and two days ahead of time for events. I also leave the house 10 mins earlier than I should leave so that way in case I hit traffic or something comes up i’m still on time or early. My dad taught me it was always better to be early than late or on time!

I try to conquer my lateness however having a son with Autism it is not always possible to be in time on appointments, to try to conquer my lateness ,I set a schedule for the day and give my son rewards when he finish one task at a time, the reason of my lateness are unscheduled meltdowns ( cause by sensory overload and going to new places) , and when that happens , what I do is to let the meltdown run its curse , and be patience .

Going to bed early
If we are talking about lateness regarding paying bills, my simple solution is I pay them all the day I get paid. Since I can pay them all online now, I just take a chunk of time and pay everything at once.
Regarding lateness for appts., I use an online calendar for work appts, but I’ve learned that if I don’t check it regularly (every morning or the day before), I can still forgot sometimes. In general it does a good job of helping me plan when to leave for appts., etc.

Well, I am rarely late for anything. If I am, it is because of very bad traffic and not because I leave the house too late. Just have to make sure to leave plenty of time for driving.

I’m always late, my husband is always early. After 33 years of marriage I’m learning to at least not be late (or too late) but it’s impossible to be early.
When I was teaching I always set my clocks ahead so I had a fighting chance at least.

Oh, how I hate to be late. For appointments or meeting friends I always leave 10 minutes before I need to. I usually am super-early, but I use that time to catch up on e-mails or quick calls.
For to-do lists and bills, my phone’s alarm system is my best friend. I use tons of alerts on the calendar, too. They have saved me countless missed dates!
I set my clocks ahead so I’m never late!
I am chronically late to almost everything!! And I hate that habit! I set my clocks 20 minutes ahead to wake up. To avoid the mad dash out the door, I plan on being ready to head out 15 minutes earlier than necessary…. And then I actually leave at the necessary time. Sigh.
I conquer lateness by setting my clocks ahead so that even if I think I’m running late, I turn out to be on time
I’m usually always late (so embarrassing) but I try to get everything done ahead of time, like figure out what to wear, or make lunch for work.
