Once you try one NARS Eye Paint, it’s extremely likely you’ll go back for another… maybe all of them. I’m not kidding.
Below I only have three – Iskandar, Mozambique, Snake Eyes – out of the ten to share with you, but on my immediate shopping list are also Mesopotamia, Transvaal, Tatar and Ubangi. Scroll on and see why!
What Nordstrom says about NARS Eye Paint:
NARS’s Eye Paint is silky, high-impact, weightless gel formula designed to line, highlight, shade and define gorgeous eyes. It comes in rich, hyper-saturated shades that glide on smoothly and provide a long-lasting finish for radiant color all day long and into the night.
0.08 oz.
- Iskandaris a metallic gold.
- Mozambique is an olive green with no shimmer.
- Snake Eyes has a black base with green shimmer.
In the EOTD below I applied these shadows with no base. I wanted to see if they’d crease when used alone. There was very, very slight creasing by days end, but when you set them with shadows there is no creasing at all.
Iskandaris is all over the lid (and also a bit under the lower lash line), Mozambique at the outer half and Snake Eyes was used as a top liner. I used Alhambra from the NARS And God Created the Woman Palette to blend out the crease and highlight. The bottom liner is Cailyn Linefix Gel Pencil in Black and the mascara is a combo of Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant topped with Too Faced Better Than Sex.
Can you believe how blendable these paints are?! They are creamy and nicely pigmented… they set and last… I’m over the moon addicted. Normally I like applying products like this to the eye with a finger, but the NARS Eye Paints are easier to work with if you have a firm brush.
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.
NARS Eye Paint retail for $25.00 each and are available at Nordstrom, NARS Boutiques and narscosmetics.com.

Hi! I used the MAC 239 for this one. Any firm paddle type brush will do!

I adore Snack Eyes. All three are really interesting, beautiful shades, though. And I am surprised by their blendability! Often these types of products are a little dry

These ones definitely aren’t dry. I had no problems at all with blending. I agree, though, normally you don’t get this kind of performance. I’m really wowed!!!

I need at least 5 more. It’s likely when I see them in person I’ll just take home the rest, though. lol
