Wantable is a new subscription service aimed to provide curated, hand-picked boutique makeup (from brands such as Lise Watier, Cailyn, Color Club and Japonesque – just to name a few!) and jewelry items.
The best part about Wantable is that everything is full sized! You’re not going to receive any samples or small sizes of makeup and the jewelry will be customized and also limited edition items.
Wantable is the most customized subscription service I’ve ever come across, and they actually take into account what you log in to their “quiz”. Because it’s so customizable, you’ll likely never see the same box within blog reviews. Start out by choosing a category – makeup or jewelry (I chose makeup but it was seriously hard to decide, because jewelry is also a HUGE love of mine!). Then you take the personalized style quiz. This is fabulous because if you hate receiving eyeliners, you won’t get them. Ever. Same goes for nail polish, lip products, mascara…. anything! You could say you like eye shadow and hate everything else, and you’d get a whole box of eye shadows!
Now, let’s see how Wantable did with customization on my August Box. As you open it up everything is packaged nicely and you also get a little run down of what is inside your box as well as some info on the included brands.
From Echo Vie, an All Natural Lip Balm. In the post it’s pink, but there’s really no color when applied to the lips. It’s very light and hydrating, you can also taste and feel the peppermint. (swatched below next to the Lise Watier, but you can just see a slight shine).
From Lise Watier, the Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacquer in Rouge Catwalk. I have been dying to try out products from the Lise Watier line and this lip gloss did not disappoint. It applied beautifully, was not sticky and lasted until I started to eat or drink. It also boasts slight shimmer and high shine. Oh, and what’s a perfect gloss without some interior LED lighting and a mirror on the side? (swatched below).
(L-R: Susan Posnick Color Eye Define in Jasper/Sandstone, Au Naturale Eye Pencil in Amethyst, Echo Vie Lip Balm and Lise Watier Lip Lacquer in Rouge Catwalk)
From Susan Posnick, the Color Eye Define in Jasper/Sandstone. This product is so perfect and easy for a simple eye. The liner part works as a shadow as well and is easy to smudge and blend. The shadow is neutral and only slightly shimmery. Very travel-friendly.
From Au Naturale, the Eye Pencil in Amethyst. This pencil applied easily and was very precise, however the pigment wasn’t as deep as I’d usually like. I’d probably put this over-top of a black liner to make it a little different and bold.
From Japonesque, the Travel Smudger Brush. I love brushes like this and the smaller size makes it ideal for putting a bit of shadow underneath the lower lash line.
From Color Club, Metallic Nail Polish in Lumin-icecent. This is a silver metallic polish loaded with silver shimmer. I’m pretty sure nothing glows like this. It took three coats for full and even opacity, but it’s well worth it.
I actually ended up receiving my Wantable box with one item missing, so when they sent me the missing item I got a few extra goodies (read: amazing customer service), which is awesome because now I have more Wantable beauty goodies to show you! Please note, the extras send with the Cailyn pencil I was missing are just sample sizes and have no retail value, I just wanted to share them =)
From Lise Watier, the Ombre Souffle Supreme Sample. The two shades I got were Sunrise Peach and Vert Enchante. These were so silky and easy to blend and use. I recommend using a secondary base because these did crease slightly on me, but most shadows do… so you might be okay using these alone as a base. (swatched below).
From Cailyn, the Linefix Gel Pencil in Black. This is what was missing from my shipment, and I’m so glad that the customer service is excellent and they were able to send it along! It’s so perfect to line with and doesn’t budge (swatched below).
I also received a sample of the Echo Vie Organic Body Oil Sample (which has 10 premium essential oils used to naturally uplift, relieve fatigue, stress and anxiety. It can be used as a moisturizer, bath oil, massage oil, or in your hair. Oh, and it smells really good); and Frownies Eye Gels, which I’m so excited about because I loved them when I originally reviewed! Can’t hurt to use them again!
Subscribe for $36 a month or, if you just want to try one month it’s a flat fee of $40. You’ll get an assortment of items valued at $80 or more. You can also invite your friends and earn referral credits! For each person that signs up you get $1 and when their box ships you’ll get $9 more for a total of $10 per person!
Will you try out the service? If you’ve gotten them in the past, let me know what you think!!!

I’ve been subscribing the whole year and it’s well worth the $36 a month I pay. My boxes are almost always worth at least $90 and I love the items. I am hoping that I get a Cailyn gel liner pencil in my September box. I’ve been wanting to try them.
Love the nail polish!!
