From the title you may have guessed that my shade of choice in this weeks Makeup Wars – Color Wars is Taupe. I do love me some taupe, and I have an excellent one that is actually a surprise fave of mine! Two Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadows were released with the Fall 2013 Superstition Collection – Hasard and today’s post of Gri-Gri!
What Nordstrom says about Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow:
An instant CHANEL classic, this ultra-fine powder eyeshadow is sensuous in feel, foolproof in its application, fabulous in its range of finishes: matte, shimmer and satin. All shades are complementary and can be blended with one another to lighten, darken or intensify tone.
Gri-Gri is a very light mauve taupe with multi-color shimmer.
The sparkle is what will catch your eye as you walk past, but maybe it’ll make you think that this shade might not be for you because of too much shimmer. When used the right way, you can work this shade in no matter what your style or age. The formula is soft and pigmented enough to swipe over the eye for a fabulous neutral look. This shade is also versatile enough to work within a smoky eye look.
Below I’m wearing Chanel Gri-Gri alone over-top of Urban Decay Primer Potion, using Nuance Salma Hayek Lasting Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black as an eye liner and Too Faced Better Than Sex for mascara.
