I’m a little late with my review of the MAC Rainy Season Eye Shadow x4 palette because I ordered it by accident…. lol How? Well, when the Riri Hearts MAC stuff came out I had this in my cart and removed it before I checked out, but the site was so wonky at that time that I ended up purchasing it. But, it worked out, because it’s a good one! Fate strikes again!
What the MAC website says about Rainy Season Eye Shadow x 4:
An Eye Shadow Quad in four shades: Arctic Grey, Courtly Grey, Typographic and Rainy Season. The highly pigmented powder formula applies evenly, blends and builds beautifully.
5.6 g / 0.19 US oz
Rainy Season is that perfect go-to when you want that quick and easy grey-smokey eye. Shades include Arctic Grey (frosted mid-tone gray, lustre), Courtly Grey (matte cool gray, matte), Typographic (asphalt black, Matte2) and Rainy Season (light warm gray frost, satin).
I was impressed with the quality of all of the shades, and was especially happy to see Typographic (a Matte2 formula) there in place of what would have surely been Carbon (which we’re all sick of seeing in quads, I’m sure). I’ve always loved the Matte2 formula and wish they’d put more of them in the quads and palettes!
For the EOTD below I began by applying a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Courtly Grey is all over the lid with Rainy Season in the crease and blended up. Rainy Season is also under the outer part of the lower lash line. Typographic is in the outer V and Arctic Grey was used at the inner corners and to highlight. The liner is Le Metier de Beate Dualistic Eye Pencil in Noir and the mascara is Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant.

MAC Rainy Season Eye Shadow x 4 retails for $40.00 and is available at Macy’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and maccosmetics.com. This quad is limited edition.
Looks like a nice quad, but I was kind of sad that there wasn’t any pop of orange in it, since the collection was orange….but it could def be overkill.
