Did you ever think you didn’t want anything from a collection and then you buy one or two pieces and it just snowballs from there? Bobbi Brown did that to me with the Navy & Nude Collection, particularly the Navy & Nude Eye Palette. I saw a Bobbi Brown Makeup Artist do a look with this palette and Suede Long-Wear Cream Shadow and couldn’t get it out of my head so I bought both… now I want more… recommendations would be appreciated so that I don’t go off and buy all of it.
What Nordstrom says about the Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Eye Palette:
A nude eye with a shot of navy liner is the epitome of cool for summer and beyond. Bobbi Brown’s latest palette is packed with eight skin tone-inspired shadows, including sparkle, shimmer and metallic shades, plus the perfect hue of inky blue (that doubles as an eyeliner). The shades come in a double-decker compact with a marbleized look in cobalt and black.
(L-R: Ivory: A creamy white; Cement: A grey beige, Blazing Star: A pale beige sparkle, Beige Shimmer Wash: A shimmery nude.)
(L-R: Twilight Pink Metallic: A light golden pink, Naked: A warm nude, Slate: A medium grey, Rich Navy: A deep royal blue.)
All of the shades are smooth, buttery and easy to work with. Note that Beige Shimmer Wash is extremely glittery, so I tend to use it sparingly. Rich Navy is a matte but on the smoother side. It works best in the outer V or used wet as a liner.
The packaging is a black and blue tortoise plastic case that opens up to reveal a mirrored compact with two levels, the bottom extends out. I love the navy take on the normal design. Gorgeous!
Of course, the name Bobbi Brown is synonymous with neutral. There is nothing wrong with that, but maybe it has you holding off on purchasing full palettes such as this one. This is your time to bite the bullet and buy the dang thing. And you MUST buy it with Suede Long-Wear Cream Shadow. Don’t go blaming me if you miss out on this limited edition beauty!
For the EOTD below I began by applying the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Suede all over the lid and through the crease. Naked is all over the lid with Slate in the crease and Rich Navy at the outer V. Cement was used sparingly to blend out the crease and Blazing Star to highlight. I popped Twilight Pink Metallic lightly in the middle of the lid as well as under the lower lash line and used Ivory at the inner corners. The liner is Chanel Le Crayon Kohl in Marine and the mascara is ModelCo Fibre LashXtend Lengthening Mascara.
The Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Eye Palette retails for $60.00 and is available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Sephora, Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomingdales and bobbibrown.com.

Beautiful! I’m intrigued that you find the navy shade easy to work with. I have a horrible time blending it–even in the outer v. Any pointers? I love the palette, but having a shade so difficult to use diminishes the value for me. 🙁

When I have a difficult matte shade to work with I like to press it on with a firm brush (MAC 239, for example) and then pick up some more color on my blending brush and blend with that. It keeps a matte shade even. If you don’t mind if it doesn’t stay completely matte putting it over a shimmery shade will make it easier to use as well. But, that defeats the purpose of a matte. lol =) HTH!
