The theme for the July 2013 GlossyBox is Le Grand Bleu! Focusing on all things beautiful, such as the deep blue sea! In this box is everything you’ll need to get you through a day at the beach.
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
So, what is in the July 2013 GLOSSYBOX? Let’s check it out!
From Brazilian Blowout, the Acai Deep Conditioning Masque. This is an intense conditioning masque that hydrates your hair eliminating frizz. This did well with conditioning my hair and helping it maintain frizz free status. I did still have to quickly run a straightening iron over my strands on top to help refine my look, but overall I loved the product!
From Bvlgari, the Eau Parfumee au the Blanc Shampoo & Shower Gel. I’m really getting into Bvlgari thank’s to GlossyBox! It’s probably a brand I never would have went for, but the scent is so subtle and amazing. A very clean, light floral. While I don’t like products that “do it all” (shampoo, shower gel, bubbles… etc) I think this is an excellent way to add in to your fragrance and make it last longer. The subtle scent will mix well with more than just Bvlgari fragrances too!
From Dr. Brandt, the BB Matte with Signature Shinerase (light to medium). This is supposedly oil-free… but when I squeezed it out there was definitely something watery going on there in addition to the product. It has a light to medium coverage and does have a mattifying effect. I wasn’t fond of the scent but it’s not a deal-breaker. (swatched below).
From Figs & Rouge, the Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm Tube. I love this! Hands down my fave part of this month’s box. It’s light, moisturizing and the holy grail, perfect type of lip tint. I’ll repurchase this forever and ever. (swatched below).
And, as a bonus, the NickaK New York Absolute! Make-up Cleansing Tissues. I freaking adore getting makeup removing wipes or tissues. Even if I’m not crazy about them for my face (sensitive skin bahhhh) I use them to remove swatches from my hands and arms. Product like this is always welcome! These are water-based and natural.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, nails, fragrance… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
Every item in this months box is useable to me, and I don’t hate any of it… wooooooo! Clearly, you’re getting your money’s worth, and useable items to boot!!!
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
