Dior has some new Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow’s for you! Four were featured on the display at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but only one came home with me – Gris Montaigne. It wasn’t the stand out of the bunch (that one was definitely Mordore) but it was the most beautiful and complex when swatched. See if you agree!
What Nordstrom says about the Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow:
A flawless wash of color in sensual matte or iridescent shades. New Diorshow Mono eyeshadows boast a unique wet/dry formula for a custom and professional finish. Sweep shadow across the eyelid with a dry brush for a subtle, sophisticated look. For a bolder statement, wet your brush before application.
Gris Montaigne may look like you average everyday silver shadow in the pan, but when swatched the shimmer effect gives off a golden silver look (hard to tell in the photos) with a wash of blue, green and pink. It’s so ridiculously gorgeous and the color is amplified more if you’d like to use it wet!
The formula of Gris Montaigne is very soft and buttery. Really easy to apply and blend. The overall look of this shade on the eyes gives a neutral look something more. I’ve seen a few swatches of this shade around the interwebs and none, including mine, do justice to how beautiful this shade is in real life.
In the EOTD below, I began by applying a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Dior Mono Eyeshadow in Gris Montaigne is all over the lid and NARS Single Eyeshadow in Yamal is in the crease and blended upwards. NARS Edie Single Eyeshadow was used to highlight. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Sabbath was used as a liner with Dior Gris Montaigne dusted lightly over top. The mascara is MAC Plushlash.
Dior Diorshow Mono Eyeshadows retail for $29.00 each. I purchased Gris Montaigne at Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale.
