I wasn’t excited for the Fall 2013 Dior Vernis Mystic Metallics Nail Lacquers when I saw photos or even some swatches online. In person, it’s a whole other story. Both shades, Destin & Galaxie, are breathtaking. A perfect Fall pedi/mani combo would be Destin on your tips and Galaxie on your toes.
Galaxie isn’t terribly unique, but wow is it a stunner. The base is an eggplant purple with blue and fuchsia shimmers throughout that are more noticeable in direct light (but not quite as subtle as shimmers in Chanel polishes are). This nail polish painted on well and almost gave full coverage with one coat, but the above photo shows two coats.
Dior nail polishes always wear very well on me, usually 5 days even with heavy wear and tear on my hands. Plus, the brush is my favorite because it’s flat and slightly tapered, making it easier to apply.
