Based off of swatches, I had high hopes for the Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner… but it just wasn’t a love for me. And, based off of the reviews I read, I’m pretty much alone with my feelings.
What Sephora says about Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner:
What it is:

– Parabens
I chose the shade Indigo Ink (matte dark blue) because I have some weird obsession with navy liners, I see one and I need to buy it. It swatched beautifully in store and immediately went in my “yes” pile.
The color is pretty much the only pro I have with this liner. I thought it was really dry and skipped when I was applying to my upper lid. It’s waterproof so it set fast. Too fast to even smudge and try to make it look a little presentable. It looks okay in the pic below because of the angle, but to wear this liner in public I had to swipe shimmery shadow over-top … like a makeup magician. It lines well on the waterline but doesn’t last more than an hour there (which is normal, it’s hard to get a liner to stay all day there).
The second time I tried to use this pencil I thought maybe it was just dry because it needed sharpened and refreshed but I was wrong. Conveniently, this liner also comes with a pencil sharpener on the end. It is small and hard to turn and also does not sharpen the pencil for crap. It actually kind of ruined it.
I’m really sad this liner was such a fail for me, it really seems like other shoppers love it. Have any of you tried the Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner? What do you think of the formula?
Smashbox Limitless Eye Liner retails for $19.00 and is available at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom and Macy’s.
