The theme for the June 2013 GlossyBox is American Beauty! What makes this month so special, is that Dallas Shaw illustrated the collectible box as well as curated the contents.
Isn’t the box itself so pretty? I’m trying to figure out what I can put in it. It’s definitely got to be displayed somewhere.
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
So, what is in the June 2013 GLOSSYBOX? Let’s check it out!
From Oscar de la Renta – Essential Luxuries. This is a pouch filled with 6 fragrance vials, all in different scents, including – Oriental Lace (my personal fave), Mi Corazon, Santo Domingo, Sargasso, Coralina and Granada. Some of them suit my fancy, some of them not so much (my hubby actually swiped two of them).
From SpaRitual – Favorites Nail Polish. The shade I received is called Spice of Life, which is a metallic wine shade. The formula was smooth and the polish only needed two coats to be completely opaque.
From c.Booth – Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist. This smells amazing. Beyond amazing. This oil is meant to provide hydration while softening the skin. It absorbs quickly and you won’t mind how the scent lingers lightly (unless you’re offended by all things yummy).
From Tarte – Complexion Enhancing Lipstick. I got the fair-to-light shade and it’s as pretty on as it is in the tube. I found the formula to be glossy and moisturizing. I’m in love and definitely picking up the medium-to-dark shade (even if I’m not medium-to-dark toned lol).
From Philip B. – pH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist. There are several products from this brand that are rotated throughout each GlossyBox, but I think this one was definitely perfect for me. I have wavy and frizzy hair, definitely prone to tangles. My hair is also heavily highlighted, in need of the toning and restoring. The apple cider and vinegar doesn’t smell offensive (but you can absolutely tell that there is vinegar in there) and makes the hair look lustrous and healthy.
…and, of course, a Glossybox Mag to read while you sit there with your pretty pout waiting for your nails to dry.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, nails, fragrance… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
I love that there are not only some of my fave tried and true brands in this box, but also some new ones to love as well! Clearly, you’re getting your money’s worth, and useable items to boot!!!
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
