The MAC Smokeluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow is one of six new shadow palettes (see Pinkluxe) released this month by MAC. These sets are here to simplify your daily eye looks by housing five coordinating shades in one sleek compact.
What the MAC website says about Smokeluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow:
Five complementary shades that glide on and blend beautifully for infinite day-to-night looks: frosty pink white, deep bronze, carbon black, deep grey and platinum. Matte to highly pearlized finish.
Smokeluxe contains five shades, described by MAC as a frosty pink white, deep bronze, carbon black, deep grey and platinum. I see them more as a pearly white, a sparkly antique gold, tanned bronze, a frosty grey blue and a smoky black.
The shadows in this palette are soft and pigmented, almost reminding me of pressed pigments. They were all very easy to apply and blend. No creasing was apparent after a full day of wear over UDPP. While the color of these shades is already intense, you can make them even more vibrant by using them wet.
The only cons I can speak of is that on some of the strips it was a little hard to get my brush in. Also, I experienced a slight amount of fall out with the black shade, but I used that to work into a bit of shadow under the lower lid.
For this EOTD I began with a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. The tanned bronze shade is all over the lid while the antique gold shade is in the crease. The beige shade is at the inner corners of the eye and to highlight. The grey blue shade is in the outer V. I used the black shade as a top liner and Neutrogena Twilight Blue Nourishing Eye Liner as a bottom liner. The mascara is MAC Plushlash.

MAC Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow retails for $40.00 and is available at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdales) or store, as well as online at maccosmetics.com.
