This month, MAC has released a new lipstick formula available in 12 shades – the Mineralize Rich Lipstick. Luckily, this yummy new formula is around for the long haul as a new part of the core line.
Of the 12, I have three to share with you – Dreaminess, Glamour Era and Style Surge – with plans to definitely purchase a few more!
What the MAC website says about Mineralize Rich Lipstick:
A 77-Mineral Moist Complex that instantly nourishes lips with maximum moisture in a lightweight, non-sticky formula. Larger bullet applies bright, long lasting colour in a single stroke. Medium shine finish, buildable coverage. Magnetic closure.
3.6 g / .12 US oz
Dreaminess (soft cool pink cream)
Glamour Era (mid-tonal warm brown frost)
Style Surge (neutral coral cream)
These lipsticks, like most MAC lipsticks, look lovely on. They apply lightly and with a lot of slip. The moisture is there and the shades are creamy. Definitely a win in the formula department. Wear time is that of a regular lipstick with just a few hours sans eating and drinking. These go on slick, though, so application is quick and painless.
Coming in at 3.6g, this lipstick is larger than the normal 3g MAC lipstick, but for some that just won’t be enough to justify the price jump. MAC lipsticks in general are so amazing (among my faves!) that it’s hard to fork over the extra $7 for just .6g more product.
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.
MAC Mineralize Lipstick retails for $22.00 and is available at your local MAC counter (Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdales), MAC freestanding store, or online at maccosmetics.com.
Is it just me, but do most people people buy a crappy lipstick from MAC and tell themselves that it is a good product? If I have to reapply a lipstick every two or three hours, that lipstick is a dud. Glamour Era lipstick is a dud for me. I would have rather spent that money on a long-lasting lipstick with a good color payoff.
