New for March 2013, NARS has released a new (and permanent!) line of Satin Lip Pencils in 13 shades. Today I have three of those shades to show you – Isola Bella, Golshan and Palais Royal.

Isola Bella
Isola Bella is a peach nude with a fabulous amount of color. It was extremely easy to apply and gave the lips a supple appearance. Perfect for everyday wear!
Golshan
Golshan is the glossiest and most saturated blood red I’ve laid eyes on since Chanel Dragon. It’s looks like it’s a lacquer! This is a little deeper than the Chanel, and I actually think I may like it more! The pencil applied very easily with a ton of pigment.
Palais Royal
Palais Royal is a stunning grape shade. The color moved around a lot as I applied so the whole thing ended up looking uneven in terms of pigment. It actually doesn’t look as bad in the photo as I thought it did IRL, but it was definitely patchy.
Overall, I adore this new set of Lip Pencil’s from NARS. Application is smooth and the pencil’s stay glossy even though they’re a satin. As the darker shades fade there is a slight staining you can work with if you apply a clear gloss or balm and they aren’t drying.
I’ll definitely pick a few more up, as they’re a product that can easily be integrated into my daily wear routine.

My NARS order was delivered earlier today, and I can’t wait to play with Lodhi! Too bad that Palais Royale turned out patchy. It’s such a gorgeous shade! But oh well, I guess you can’t have it all 😉
