Pur Minerals is not a brand I’m familiar with, Beautiful Creatures is not a movie (or book!) that I’m familiar with… so why did I buy the Pur Minerals Beautiful Creatures Collection? Because it’s stunning… obviously!

DirectionsEyeshadow: Using the Shadow Brush (included), sweep shadows across the eyelid, blending and layering as desired.
Eyeliner: Starting from the inner corner of the eye and working towards the outer corner, apply color using soft, short strokes.
Lip Gloss: Glide the lip gloss on with the applicator wand, re-applying throughout the day as needed.
The shadows in this palette are divine. Each was swatched above using no primer and only one finger swipe. Amazing pigment and color quality and they felt so soft. I didn’t experience any horrible fall-out with any of the shades (very minimal with Fantasy) and all blended into the other seamlessly when I used them.
The lip gloss is mostly sheer with a pink tint. It’s super glossy and has very little stick. It’s sure to compliment any eye look that you create with this palette. Love it.
The eye liner is a creamy black and swatched so well I couldn’t wait to try it. Unfortunately, the pencil didn’t apply smoothly and dragged and skipped a bit. I found myself having to closely inspect and make touch-ups… and still I really wasn’t happy.
For the EOTD I started off with a layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Taking a firm brush I applied Fantasy all over the lid and into the crease a bit, leaving the inner corner bare. Above Fantasy I blended Fate and then put a dab of Cursed in the outer V. At the inner corners of the eye I applied Secret and also used this to highlight. I dabbed a bit of Cursed under the outer part of the lower lid, then, using the same brush, applied Supernatural at the inner part of the lower lid. To finish I lined with the included liner and added two coats of MAC Plushlash Mascara.
At the end of it all this palette has inspired me to not only go see the movie, but read the series too!
The Pur Minerals Beautiful Creatures Collection retails for $39.00 and is available at Ulta and PurMinerals.com.

That’s a lovely look you did! I recommend the Pur Minerals pressed mineral foundation – it’s my favorite pressed powder foundation, I wear it frequently during the summer!

Thanks! Normally I’m not a fan of mineral makeup, it tends to fade on me, but this brand has been great so far!
