You’ve already seen the more demure of the two 5-Couleurs released with the Dior Cherie Bow Spring 2013 Collection, now it’s time to meet it’s more vibrant sister – Rose Charmeuse #854.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about the ‘Cherie Bow’ 5 Couleurs Eye Palette:
Inspired by The House of Dior’s iconic symbol, the bow, this season’s look exudes femininity, sophistication and sensuality with a playful twist.
Dior’s best-selling eye palette offers endless possibilities in a seductive range of rich, versatile colors designed for easy application and long wear.
Beauty tip: Use the oval wand to apply the lightest shade to the upper part of the inner eyelid, then blend the darkest shade along the lash line. Shade the outer brow with one of the remaining colors. For more intensity, use a fourth color under the lashes.
While Rose Charmeuse is the more dramatic of the two 5-Couleurs in the Cherie Bow Collection, it still remains refined and wearable.
Even though pinks tend to make me look sickly, this one was just warm enough to make it useable on me. These five shades still look intimidating but can be easily manipulated into a wearable look (shown below) or something a bit smokier.
As is usual with Dior eye shadows these ones all applied well, blended expertly and no shadow fall out was experienced during application with the brushes that I used.
For this EOTD I kept it wearable. First I applied my eye primer (UDPP) and then, using a firm brush (MAC 239) I applied the top right shade all over the lid and through the crease. I blended the bottom right shade into the crease and upwards for the loud pop of pink. The bottom left shade was placed in the outer V and blended into the rest of the lid while the top left shade was popped at the inner corner of the eye. The middle shade was used to blend out the crease color and highlight. The eye liners used are NARS Carpates Eyeliner Stylo on top and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion on the bottom. The mascara is Chanel Le Volume.

The colors are so beautiful and I am sure they are beautiful with your dark eyes. Your look is pretty! Sadly, I cannot wear anything more than a very light pink on my eye without looking sick.

I’m normally the same way! The deep pink is just warm enough that I could pull it off. Phew lol
