China Glaze has a seriously awesome way to easily manipulate your nails into a work of art! All you need is a polish from their new Tranzitions line, any top coat and maybe a tool or two!
For this post I have three of the China Glaze Tranzitions Nail Polishes in Split Perso-Nail-Ity, Modify Me and Altered Reality.
While I didn’t have much luck with the tool itself, these are still the perfect way to create a funky french mani!
Altered Reality
Altered Reality is a frosted deep teal that transforms into a darker frosted deep teal. In person you can barely see the change so it was a little disappointing. Above (L-R) I have the left half of the nail painted, then the tip, then on the pinkie I did dots.
Modify Me
Modify Me begins as a beautiful shade of periwinkle that changes into a cerulean blue. This is probably my favorite of the three I’ve tried, so gorgeous.
Split Perso-Nail-Ity
Split Perso-Nail-Ity is a lavender based pink that changes to a raspberry shade when you apply the top coat.
I love the idea of Tranzitions. I just wish the polishes dried a bit smoother. They all only needed one coat, but a second coat seemed to even it out a bit better for me. Watching the color change before your eyes is really cool and it was easy to use the top coat brush to make a french tip.
The tool wasn’t so simple to use because it kind of dragged (see pinky nail of Split) but maybe it just takes some getting used to? I don’t know, but I found just using the top coat brush carefully worked better for me.
