For Holiday 2012 one of my favorite brands has released a fun and festive quartet of nail shades. Le Métier de Beauté has two sets (duos in which each shade is sold separately) of lovely, bold shades for Holiday in Bright as Night and shimmering overlays in Deck the Nails.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about the Le Métier de Beauté Holiday 2012 Nail Lacquers:
Specifically formulated to be 3-Free without formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). Proposition 65-compliant and fortified with strengthening proteins and hydrators. Le Métier de Beauté Nail Lacquers are highly pigmented for rich, glossy, long-wearing color.
Dream Maker
Dream Maker is a stunning and vibrant royal purple. This shade was opaque in two coats.
Here is Dream Maker topped with the two shades from “Deck the Nails”:
(pointer & middle finger have Tinsel Town; ring and pinkie finger have Moon’s Glow)
Christmas Town
Christmas Town is a stunning, shimmering emerald green and was opaque in one coat.

As you can see, the overlays really change up a polish, and in different ways depending on the tone. It’s a very interesting way to make an old nail polish new again.
The formula was fabulous on all of these, and all only required one coat of use other than Dream Maker. I really can’t say that you should pass on ANY of them. They’re all just too stunning.
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.
Le Métier de Beauté Nail Lacquers retail for $18.00 each and are available at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman.
I just got these and I’m so excited to wear them. LMdB polishes wear beautifully. The green with the Tinsel Town is going to be my St. Paddy’s manicure for sure.
