It doesn’t seem so long since I did the November Little Black Bag post, since I closed mine out so late. But, here is December’s bag. When it closed I was disappointed, because trading wasn’t happening very well and I wasn’t happy with a good portion of my bag. Once everything arrived, however, I quickly changed my tune!
In this box I got 6 items. The three usual items, plus one referral item were included in my bag and then through the trading process I ended up with two more.
The first item is from Steve Madden and was my initial pick when I signed up (though I traded it away and then at the last minute traded for it back lol). It’s the Bottom Studded Cross Body in Indigo. I am really into studded things lately, and this bag is perfect for slinging across your body for shopping or a night out. The interior isn’t huge, but it’ll work for your basics. It can also be used as a wristlet.
Next is a necklace that had me drooling since it hit the site – the Carol Dauplaise Chain Side Stone Necklace. I am a huge fan of her pieces and usually always trade for them on the LBB site. I think this one is really intricate and gorgeous, but unfortunately poorly constructed. It arrived broken and unable to be fixed. =(
Third is an item by Guess and is the Hematite Multi-Stone Stretch Bracelet. I wasn’t too sure about this one but it’s so gorgeous in person and has a nice heft to it. There is also a gold one on the site that I’ve been trying to get my paws on!
Fourth is an item by Betsey Johnson that I knew I didn’t want, but my step-sister told me she was getting some nice trade offers for it. Yeah, I wasn’t. It’s the Snake Pendant Necklace and yeah… LOL It ended up my bag closed with it inside. While it is actually nicer in person, it’s just not my style.
The fifth item is from a new brand at LBB called Flea Market Girl. It’s a tarnished bronze Eiffel Tower Necklace and I adore it. It’s dainty, and though not super expensive retail wise, you’d never know in person.
The sixth and final items I’ve combined since it was considered promotional. LBB gave a bunch of samples for the bag during a certain time period. I forget exactly how many, but I ended up using them to sweeten up trade offers. The only item I didn’t trade out was the LaVanilla Healthy Lip Shine in Vanilla Blossom. I believe it’s full size and it’s definitely completely awesome. The Yu-Be was just a random sample that they threw in that I didn’t know was coming.
How do you think I did this month? I was actually more impressed with some of the items than I thought I’d be, then saddened by others. I couldn’t remember everything I got before I opened it, but I remembered not being happy when trading ended lol. It all worked out rather decently. I’m always impressed with the quality of the items in person versus what they look like on the site. The pics on the site do not do ANY of the products justice.
