Inspiration: Ming [Dynasty] meets Modern.
Ken Downing puts his stylish spin on Fall’s hottest hues.
The season’s most buzzed about shades come together for an Orient-inspired collection. “Saturated shades of vibrant violet, blackened navy, jade green and red lacquer made a statement on nearly every runway,” remarks Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing.
Taking inspiration from the intricate crafts of Asian artisans, Mr. Downing adds his own signature spin to the opulent color combinations that defined Fall’s runways to create his latest collaboration for Le Métier de Beauté: The Coromandel Collection. A mix of striking shades and punchy hues, The Coromandel Collection has just the right amount of “glam” and “edge” to take things up a notch.
Nail it with the Coromandel nail lacquers. An array of colors straight from the runway – it’s the perfect mix of statement-making polish.
Shades include (from Left to Right):
Indo-sheen Red, an entrancing bright ruby.
“Indo-Sheen Red captures the magic!” declares Mr. Downing.
Saucey Plum, a dark and stormy plum.
“It’s rich, regal and ready for your favorite looks for Fall.”
Cloisin-navy, a dark and creamy navy.
“My new neutral for the season, it’s deep and mysterious.”
Made in the Jade, a willow tree green.
“Reflecting the luminosity of precious stones, it’s an intermix of fashion-forward greens.”
Ken Downing for Le Métier de Beauté capsule collections are available exclusively November 2012 at Neiman Marcus, neimanmarcus.com, Bergdorf Goodman and bergdorfgoodman.com.
