Zoya ORNATE Holiday Winter Nail Polish Collection Swatches & Review

October 17, 2012

Every once in awhile a collection of nail polishes is released and you just need every single one of them.  Zoya has achieved this most recently with their Holiday Winter Nail Polish Collection – Ornate.

What the Zoya website has to say about the Ornate Holiday Winter Nail Polish Collection:

Add dazzle to your nails this holiday winter season with the Zoya Ornate Nail Polish Collection, a combination of six liquid metals (foil finish), one silver holographic / bar glitter and three holographic crystal beauties. Each with a dynamic, long-wearing, toxin-free personality of her own. Perfect when paired together to create modern French manicures as seen during the runway shows of fashion week. Try Storm with a Ziv tip as shown on our model for an ultra stylish look!

Now, onto the swatches!!!!  (AKA the reason why you’re here!)

Electra

(in sun, no flash)

(no sun, with flash)

Electra is a HOLO BAR GLITTER.  Yeah, you heard me.  It makes every nail polish festive, like you wiped tinsel on your nails.  In the photos above I have one coat on my pinkie nail, two coats on my ring finger, three coats on my middle finger, and four coats on my pointer finger.

Ziv

(in sun, no flash)

Ziv is a metallic gold foil with silver highlights. Ziv is the quintessential holiday shade that all collections seem to promote year after year, but that doesn’t make it any less stunning.  Three coats were used in the photos.

Aurora

Aurora is a plum with fine holo glitters.  The formula was a bit thin, but wasn’t too hard to work with.  Every once in awhile you come across a polish that just absolutely takes your breath away.  This is one of those polishes.  Three coats were used in the photos.

Blaze

(in sun, no flash)

(no sun, no flash)

(no sun, with flash)

Blaze is a raspberry shade loaded up with small holo glitters.  Though not as mouth-watering as Aurora, there is something about Blaze that has you having to look twice.  Three coats were used in the photos.

Logan

(in sun, no flash)

(no sun, no flash)

(no sun, with flash)

Logan is a glamorous forest green with gold and blue-green glitter.  I mean, green doesn’t really get much better than this. It’s all very St. Patrick’s Day!  Two coats were used in the photos.

Storm

(in sun, no flash)

(no sun, with flash)

Storm is a black polish that features a ton of silver and holo glitters screaming throughout.  It makes me think of New Years when all of the confetti blasters are going off.  Or maybe fireworks.  Three coats were used in the swatch photos, but you can likely get away with two.

You need all of these.  The ONLY one I could even think about passing on is Ziv, and that is just because I likely have something similar in my stash.  But, really, if you’re going to buy the other five shades you might as well suck it up and buy all six.  Tough love. =P

Zoya Nail Polishes retail for $8.00 each and are available on the website as well as at Ulta.
