New in September 2012, MAC has brought us Office Hours. Aptly named, because for those long hours at the office you’re going to need these Pro Longwear products to get your face through the day.
As part of the collection, 8 Pro Longwear Lipglass shades were released in Boundless Beige, Patience Please, Love Love Love, Everlasting Nude, Forever Rose, Driven By Love, and the two featured today, Persistent Peach and Next Fad.
What the MAC website has to say about Pro Longwear Lipglass:
A longwearing Lipglass that goes on smooth and lasts for up to six hours! Envelops lips with shine and colour and pro-longs the hours between re-application.
1.92 g / .06 US oz
Persistent Peach is described as a light warm peach. Super creamy and pigmented. This actually spread rather easily over the lips with a minimal amount of unevenness.
Next Fad
Next Fad is described as a mid-tone cool pink. A great cool pink with light shimmer. This one spread on well too, but the shimmer does help to hide any sort of unevenness with the formula. I’m actually wearing this shade right now and my hubby said “boy, your lips look pretty” lol… he rarely notices makeup so I’d say that’s a good sign. Or, he wanted a smooch. (I’m also wearing this shade in the face pic in the Pro Longwear Blush post).
The formula on the Pro Longwear Lipglass, and really all of the Pro Longwear lip products in general, is majorly sticky. I realize that this helps them stay on and all that jazz, but when worn alone it’s almost unbearable for me. They’re not as sticky as a Butter London Lippy but they are way more sticky than a regular MAC Lipglass. They DO stay on longer than your average gloss, but I’ve found that the best way to get past the stickiness and keep the wear time at it’s peak is to layer the three lip products (liner, lipstick, lipglass).
